Could they still BP but not under YG?

I would love to see that.

I wonder this too.

YG gave iKON's new company their name and social media accounts so even if YG tries to fight it, I assume in a court of law the members of BLACKPINK could point towards that? YG also kind of messed up by giving BP such long hiatuses cause if this needs to go in a court of law for a long time it's not like they'll lose fans cause they're already conditioned to wait.

she's already a korean puppet with an unfavorable contract because she's a foreigner, and her manager literally stole like 800k from her at one point

do puppets regularly get paid $80 mil?

You dont know her contract and yeah why else you getting paid 80m what?

the best scenario is they left that shitty company and go to Hype lol, they know what to do with a kpop global artist.

Western label can also be a good option but honestly i dont think they know how to manage a kpop girlgroup.

If they just disband and have solo career then it would be devastated for the fans.

If they stay with YG, things will be just the same, i dont believe that shitty company would actually change anything.

I honestly dont see them leaving together im sure at least 1 wants to stay so no chance they go to hybe.

They probably are not interested in music anymore anyway

and with THAT kind of "quality" music they are putting out, audience honestly are not missing much anyway

BLINKS gonna cry though, since they no longer can see their fave releasing BOOMBAYAH part 26 :weeps:

i highly doubt any would stay at YG solo, they know it’s a sinking ship and saw how CL was treated. maybe Jisoo but i hope even she is smarter than that.

We actually wish we could get another BOOMBAYAH, but instead we got that stupid Born Pink album which sounds like a Kids Bobz compilation:rip:

Should leave the label and sign with international ones...

Jennie- Warner.

Lisa- Columbia.

Rose- Atlantic.

Jisoo- Interscope.

All the girls should stay away from RCA....:celestial5:

I just don't know how willingly HYBE would be to sign them since it would be like a betrayal to YG and they've a good relation going on with them - YG distributes HYBE's albums in Korea and helped launch Weverse / YG artists are on Weverse too and some other partnerships.

The issue with a Western label I feel like is that its gonna be 5H on steroids. They're gonna have 2 or 3 competent eras with the whole shebang (hit singles, albums, rollout, big tour, etc.) but sooner or later once renegotiations happen a lot of insider undercutting is going to happen. A few labels try to get in kahoots with one of the members, tries to appeal to their solo potential, they dip, it becomes a Camila situation except x10 the magnitude.

US labels don't know what to do with groups that last for a decade plus.

Then its just gonna be a fight of opportunity cost. Are they willing to lose the distribution rights + Weverse connections in favor of signing what is arguably the 2nd biggest K-pop act of all time behind their own BTS?

well then korean agencies need to do and treat their idols better if they don't want these kind of issues. yg needs to win the award for biggest idiot ever

I definitely wasn't defending YG, just explaining their corporate interest and why they have let idols consistently walk with names they own the rights to.

They’d do better under interscope

Lalisa should do group stuff under interscope and then take that chinese deal, release a big titted smash solo album & tour, and then marry that billionaire she’s dating and work when she feels like it. This is her karma for carrying that group for 7 years and refusing to press charges against that manager from YG that stole almost a million dollars from her. I love it!

I'm sure they've been having long meetings cause they are literraly the biggest group in the world right now (since bts is inactive)

All 4 of them are getting more money from 1 instagram post than 90% of k-pop idols get from comebacks, like why woud they want to keep doing silly dances for the toxic k-pop fandom? :rip:

Imagine being in Twice - they work all year, comeback after comeback, and get maybe 30% of what blackpink gurls are earning for doing nothing :gaycat6:

People thinking they will leave because they didn’t have enough comebacks only think from a fan point of view.

this gonna be all about the money and their own future. Leaving YG will be a risk for them in terms of losing their names and BP brand. There is no way YG is gonna give it to them when they leave. It has way too much value. Im pretty sure negotiations will be about getting more money, less group activities and more solo stuff. BP is not gonna carry them after they disband. Solo activities actually might tho.

But YG seems to be prepared for them to leave, otherwise there would’ve been no reason to announce so many encore dates for to tour other than cashing in one last time. The girls must be pretty pissed off about the tour situations.

But we will find out in two weeks I guess.

The way YG just milked them for all they could and then let their music rot.

Honestly the girls deserve way better. They could have been way bigger, even though they're already huge.

Their contract renewal date is my birthday.

Hoping and praying for some good news.
