GentleEarthquake Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 I hope they don't renew and YG fades into oblivion. But i'd feel sad for the Baemon girls, at least they're young and will probably have more opportunities in the future. Treasure in the other hand... 2
Harrier Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Blackpink hiatus is incoming I advise blinks to mentally prepare yourselves Writing is on the wall here. I would be shocked if all four re-signed with this dogshit company.
Blue Rose Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 They need to disband and go solo. All their solo singles were better than the last Blackpink project anyway
worldwide angel Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 either want them to be the head honchos of YG or they need to find another label where they can be together i see reasons for and against but i do not trust YG (owner)

Around that time all of YGs acts started to fall off, even AKMU is no longer a digital force. Treasure album sales are DECREASING, which is a horrible sign for a 4th gen kpop group. And I mean Winner are absolute nobodies these days that cant move album nor crack the top 50 in Korea. I wonder what could have happened in 2019 to make that shift in 2020/2021…
Marry The Gods Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 i think this might be where lisa's solo career will take off. 1

TaggedGalaxy Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 I hope they stay together as a group but move to another label
ATRL Administrator Ryan Posted July 25, 2023 ATRL Administrator Posted July 25, 2023 Imagine fucking up your bag this badly. YG trash.

The self-sabotage that YG been doing ever since BP debut for not knowledging their popularity and demand need to be taught in gender and economic studies They should've been lucky that BP's fashion gigs pay all of their electrical bills for their new building 3
Raptus Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 YG is trash but Lisa would do really dumb thing if she accepts the chinese offer. Being idol in China is really tricky, especially for someone from a country that is seen as an enemy (Thailand). What if they force her into some political mess and her home country will turn on her 7

wish Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Best case scenario is they sign with a brand new label & give us 1-2 really good comebacks before officially disbanding around their 10th anniversary 1

moxcy Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 I hope they don't resign without heavy creative control, the girls deserve to be treated better. I bet you other labels are looking to snatch them too.
Katamari Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Twice outlasting yet another one of their rivals oh wow 5
Mark! Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 they're probably negotiating the number of post-renewal albums from 2 to at least 5
lauvender Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 YG should’ve scrambled to treat them right initially, they have 29 songs in 6+ years, artists/producers reached out to collab that YG ignores or cancels. I hope they leave, that company doesn’t deserve them

The name is literally the only thing YG has over them. Name ownership has been brought to court several times in Korea with mixed results. A huge name like BP could force a real legal precedent to be set, and it could be a massive loss for all Korean agencies if BP wins. Ownership of the name implies some level of ownership of the actual brand too. YG doesn't want this and would most likely relinquish the group name if they wanted to stick together outside of YGent. YG hasn't forced anybody to leave their name behind with the company for this reason. Edited July 25, 2023 by Century

Joyride Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 they need to move on from YG at this point. fight for the name, sign good distribution deals with a big US label and keep working on the brand. they're already immensely popular. also we all know Teddy's sound is TIRED. we don't meed more of him.
