well. pretty sure it's easier to sell albums in America when somebody white makes the safest least inoffensive music for white folks

White like the people who wrote Rihanna's music for her?

yLBJfPh.thumb.gif.285e49eec9f9a16003d41c

Or the producer that gave her her biggest hit worldwide?

The way Navy was arguing about Anti being bigger than Reputation few years ago, deflected to Lover few years later and deflecting once again with Folklore

What is next, deflecting to Taylor’s least selling album Evermore?

The album opened with 700K units and dropped 80% in week 2 and keeps dropping. That may be above Rihanna but it’s still frontloaded. Hope that helps

Rihanna was never an amazing album seller in the US because 65-70% of her album sales came from outside the country, a concept which was foreign to Taylor until very recently, when she started making noise in regions which Rihanna had conquered by 2010.

This also happened with Midnights, an album that will be over 6M by its 1 year anniversary. Is it frontloaded too?

The difference is that Taylor still does it, on a magnitude unparalleled. Not comparable :sorry:

They're comparing Rihanna studio albums to rerecordings now :rip:

And then failed to go #1 because Taylor was the one who blocked her

No it's a desperate cashgrab to go #1. I'm glad it failed miserably despite the radio deal and all the promo

Nobody gives a **** about that album, as demonstrated by its free fall on Spotify and Billboard, please :rip:

Obviously Folklore

It might not have had any hits when it was originally released but it has held up so well. Cardigan and August are classics in the making which will prolong its longevity even more.

Anti - 1,285,000 (pure) / 10,603,000 total EAS

Folklore - 2,954,000 (pure) / 10,871,000 total EAS

Music - 10,700,000 (pure) / 13,963,000 total EAS

There. If you can do basic math, you can see Music has been the most commercially successful overall. Now stop arguing semantics and touch some grass, it's not that serious. :gaydonnacat1:

Like how ME! failed against Lil Nas X after she poured all of radio and youtube ad payola into it?

Not to forget this frontloaded bomb foaming with Payola:

They are desperate attempts at inflating sales. Just like these are desperate attempts at inflating streams

It’s more funnier when the majority only care in the first two weeks and then forget about it”

Like the navies didn’t get destroyed by @The Music Industry two pages ago on ANTi’s (Rihanna’s least front loaded album) chart run two pages ago :deadbanana2:

It’s also a very peculiar choice to bring up Taylor’s singles success because she does not need smash hits to move album units. The parent album of tHe BiGgEsT dRoP fRoM #1 single is still charting right now.

Rihanna's "musical comeback" featured in a Marvel movie, payola'd to hell and back on every platform, was performed at the Oscars, etc. is currently being outstreamed daily by 92 Taylor Swift songs

This only shows that Anti and Folklore are bigger considering they've been out for way lesser time. Both will obviously surpass it.

Ok and when that happens, you can call them the most successful - but not today. :cm:

Thankfully these didn't stop Reputation and Lover from ending up bigger than 6/8 (soon 7/8) Rihanna albums

Not someone calling Taylor’s albums frontloaded now, they have to be a Rih set up account at this point, why would you do that to her :rip:

The song did what it had to do… get performed at the Oscars. Taylor dreams of that every night

still charting bc she's continuously boosting her catalog with album drops every 6 months and currently touring her entire discog.

before the aggressive album drops she was struggling to keep up with Rihanna's daily streams even tho Rihanna's most recent project was 3 years old:

I think Taylor is just fine while she is on the biggest tour in the history of music and is about to time the IFPI yet again :toofunny3:
