sasashite Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 All of them are very successful. Which one is the biggest?
Popboi. Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Music. folklore is getting close to being bigger but it’s going to take a while, Anti might surpass it too eventually but would take longer than folklore.
LiamVillain Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 the one still in top 10 three years after its release 1
Avenger Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Music I think, I don’t follow charts but I remember the title track was everywhere when it came around.
sasashite Posted July 25, 2023 Author Posted July 25, 2023 A year ago I said folklore was bigger than Music and ATRL went after me because they shouldn't even be compared. 1
Johnny Jacobs Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 The one with the one version and was released almost 8 years ago 5
Trent W Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 I think that Anti and folklore are bigger than music I would say Anti is bigger than folklore because of the hits only. The 2 albums by themselves are head to head on each other in success, quality and importance for their career 4
Sergi91 Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 (edited) Music was bigger and didn’t need steaming or release dozens of different versions of the same album + Madonna was in her 40s. Edited July 25, 2023 by Sergi91 5
Madonno Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Music by far It sold more, Madonna was in her 40s 1
AxelFox Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Most of you have not even lived through Music to even be able to compare. It was the biggest by far. 8
By the Water Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 It's obviously folklore and no amount of *vibes* and nostalgia will change that 7 1 8 2
PoisonedIvy Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Music makes the people come together Anti and folklore feel bigger but I was only 3 or 4 when Music came out so I can’t really accurately judge. Ew though @ the people trying to take a dig at Anti and folklore just for the year they came out, sorry the music industry is more accessible to everyone now are we supposed to feel bad about that? 1
Axelios Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 (edited) Anti >= Folklore (will surpass it in the future) > Music. I can already see the tired "Music sold more!!!" arguments used to claim it is bigger when Music was probably not even among the top 10 biggest albums of its year unlike Anti and Folklore. Edited July 25, 2023 by Axelios 2 1
NEX Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Feels like ANTI for now, but Folklore might overtake it if it keeps charting this high for a while longer

It just needed a better climate where albums used to sell 20 million copies and still Music barely cracked 10 million (unlike Britney, Eminem, Linkin Park, Backstreet Boys, etc). 2 5
State of Grace. Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 (edited) Objectively and factually, folklore. The best, most successful, and most acclaimed ALBUM. Edited July 25, 2023 by State of Grace. 2 1

It’s so dumb to compare sales from the 90s to streaming from the 2020s The reality is that Anti and Folklore are more important that each of their career’s than Music was for Madonna. Folklore elevated Taylor and make her more respected, same for Anti to Rihanna, lowkey gave them legend status.
UseYourIllusion2002 Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Ray of Light is Madonna’s 8th album if we include I’m Breathless that actually is a pretty nice set up with Folklore and Anti.
FolkLover1989 Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 Folklore is extremely global so that gives it a bit of more leverage Soon to be 2x plat in UK too. Also Folklore is already near 11m units and no stopping it ( these are chartmasters units so label units will be even more) Folklore gets boost every August too.

Then I would have to include Who's That Girl. And Madonna's 8th album would be Bedtime Stories.
