shookspeare Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 extremely unstable which is a very bad sign 1 1
besaid Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 It's boring and we already have one Taylor Swift. It also just sounds like a throwaway from her first album. 1
50thStateofMind Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 y'all are truly DESPERATE to drag this girl for her #1 single, aren't you? 4
JoJo Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 It would be top 5 if it weren’t for two songs that are going to immediately drop next week Anyway, the streams are stable and it’s rising on radio. I’d be more worried if Vampire tanks right before the second single and album come out.
Fastlane Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 28 minutes ago, UseYourIllusion2002 said: Yeah exactly. The same thing happened to Womanizer and California Gurls. Huge debuts, fell a bit, and then rebounded. Plus Vampire is still doing great on streaming, despite the Barbie bombs, viral country songs, and songs that are actually front-loaded like that BTS/Latto song. There’s also that song with three of the biggest male artist. Cali was #2 for some a few weeks before it topped Hot 100 for 6 weeks.
Baby Judas Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 You all are acting like it's doing Attention chart-run after a huge Planet Her era. 1

Oh wow The dossier!
Feanor Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Once its slow intro ends, the song gets very… rash and aggressive. I was with friends recently and they played TTH in the background. When it was time for "Vampire", my friend ended up skipping the song halfway through because of how loud it got. That opened my eyes… 1 1 2
sourprint Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 the song isnt summery at all lmfao this is a fall-early winter song. plus, she has said multiple times before there's gonna be way better songs on the album subtly (shes wrote 150 songs for guts since 2021 so its safe to say the album will be heavily curated. shes said the first song is the song shes most proud of to date) so yall can expect brutal/jealousy jealousy teas from some tracks.. vampire is ART and that's why it should win soty or roty at the grammys. i believe it wasnt the best choice to come up with for a sophomore era lead single, but she served QUALITY and thats what it matters the most. the twilight visuals is the best part of the song to me and not many pop girlies out there risk to go out of their way to bring some dark imagery to their craft. everyones doing goofy **** except for maybe doja 2

Great Username Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 It doesn't have much replay value and it's just a bit of a bummer. It's nut the vibe rn 2
sourprint Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 @Talento whats so funny? yall are so obtuse lmao that song is not a SUMMER SONG america is consuming country like crazy the new jungkook song is filled with payola cruel summer is being carried by radio and the list goes on cant yall WAIT for her to release the second single or wait for the album to drop altogether to reach to a conclusion. worth mentioning it debuted at #1 (ok by a low margin) and has the biggest debut on yt by a female american musician. cant wait for the same energy when billie drops her lead. 1
NordicGuy Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 People simply lack taste. But it's still doing good.
Nashe Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 it's a perfect introduction single to the era. Ppl will consider it as such one day just like with Ariana's "Dangerous Woman" (even though that one didn't even touch the top 5!)
Patrickern777 Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 Where is her hype? and what is the drama with Taylor?
WitnessOblivia Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 I don't think it's doing that bad though. Did I expect it to do better? Yes. The reason it's 'underperforming' is because the song is not very strong.

OT: Seems to be doing fine, maybe a bit underwhelming given the huge expectations. I hope she has an infectious bop lined up next, dropping this song during summer maybe was not the best idea.

Dialamba Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 It’s not lead single material. But the song is not dropping because the GP doesn’t like it drops because there’s too much competition. Barbie, another country song, JK.
UnusualBoy Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 The dramatics, you would think the song free fall and it's out of the top 50 at this point.
naval23 Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 There were like 2 huge debuts and 3 of the top 5 are top 3 in airplay, so it makes sense Her airplay is still building up and streaming still top 3 It's going to have a "What's My Name" esque type of run where it went 1-7 and then rebounded to #2 over 2-3 months later
QueenofCopyPaste Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 The weekly "what went wrong"? threads on this song
littlebodybigheart Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 there’s a few debuts above it. the song is doing okay
