OT: I don't think this is tea. I think Jennette was hurt by Ariana being chosen by Nickelodeon and actually getting a career after their show didn't do as well as they hoped. She talked about it in her book. I think Jennette was just using all the stereotypical stuff about vapid girls and applying them to her. "Gloriana" in the video speaks nothing like Ariana. I don't think Jennette would've known about the ins and outs of Ariana's relationships.

You spilled here. I know you don’t like her, but you surprisingly have many similar takes that longtime Swifties do. Most of us still like Harry.

I don't have an issue with Taylor herself, my problem is with Swifties (and I'm sure the same can be said about Harry/Harries for a lot of people). Sure, I don't particularly like her music, but I don't like most people's music. Like, of the millions of artists in the world I like maybe 2% of people's music, but that doesn't make me put the others down.

 

I'm first and foremost a woman, and as much as people like to downplay it, Taylor has suffered a ton of misogyny during her career. I'm always on women's side from that.

 

And OT: that's why trying to be lenient on Ariana. It doesn't look good for her, but I think the reaction is a little out of proportion considering we don't really know her. It also doesn't really affect us, so maybe we should all stay out of it. This Jennette bit is like, what? 10+ years old? Let it rest. She was really diplomatic about Ariana in her book and its promo.
