Nice (France) Vs Barcelona (Spain): Which city would you choose to live in forever ?

I've been to Nice and loved it, and it's proximity to Monaco which is a breathtaking place 

 

Going to Barcelona next week I'll see how I feel about it

I absolutely love Barcelona and especially the gay community. I’m back in under 2 weeks, but I’ve also had my phone stolen three times and got a knife pulled out on me there last month

Neither are quite my style.  I think I would prefer to live in Northern Europe.  However, if I had a good job available to me and my partner could live there with me I would choose Barcelona.

I was so hyped for Barcelona and it turned out underwhelming. The architecture and the beach were forgettable, the people are not exactly friendly or cute.

loved barcelona. felt very chill for a big city + very friendly people imo. the beaches tho were a bit meh and the more "modern" parts are kinda ugly.

My best friend lives in Barcelona, I know the city well and I love it, so it's an easy choice for me.

 

People that call Barcelona (the most visited city in Spain and one of the most visited in Europe, not to mention when it comes to gay tourism) boring or that claim that there's no much to do, clearly they haven't visited and known the city properly, only on ATRL you can find these delusional claims.

When i studied in Barcelona i found the city pretty boring (very pretty tho) and there’s a **** ton of pickpockets (granted every big city has them but i found it kinda extreme there)

 

Nightlife alone was a lot more exciting in Madrid f.e (and i’m usually a sucker for cities with beaches ) 

Please elaborate how Barcelona’s boring? Cause I used to live there and me and my friends we get overwhelmed all the time because of so many events and stuff to do at all times (in a positive way). I think you didn’t find the underground scene lol.  There’s a reason the ‘no para no para’ (it never stops) expression is so popular there. 

 

Of course the nightlife in Madrid is more exciting, cities that have nothing to do during the day and with extreme climates have to compensate in nightlife or else people will die of boredom, same as in Berlin

Nice has lots of old, bigoted and judgmental people, it’s pretty conservative

 

I like Barcelona but I’ve only been there for Primavera festival and Pride so sure those were fun times but I don’t know how life is on a day-to-day basis

Barcelona! The men are hot, the food is good and there's lots to do. Especially as a gay man. 

 

I also prefer the Spanish language and the food.
