Her antics had an impact in her not getting nominated for House of Gucci. The whole method thing is so pretentious

Yall keep saying this with no proof. :rip: If she seriously turned the industry off that much, she wouldn't have shown up at BAFTA or SAG. They really don't care about the crap Film Twitter does.

Imo, it's really as simple as crap luck and a late surge for Cruz, a veteran giving a highbrow-backed performance with SPC behind her. Gaga missed out to a passion pick on a preferential ballot.

This is kind of beautiful. She never stops. Imagine being that cinematographer trying to sift through all the ego pollution on that set. spacer.png

You have the most posts in this thread. We got it. Method is bad. But self-awareness is good:

New York Times: Natalie Portman Goes Deep Into Method in 'Black Swan'

“There were some nights that I thought I literally was going to die,” Portman explained to the U.K.’s Independent in January 2011.

KStew even tried to make herself vomitbonset to be as "in character" as possible! One has to understand the strings certain actresses pulled!

LMAO how embarrassing for them :rip:

The legendary Lady Gaga will continue to prosper in Hollywood as Royalty, with A-list directors dying to book her as lead actress in their movies, as their faves with failed acting careers watch from the fences wishing they had Lady Gaga’s acclaimed & unmatched in versatility career!

The usual pressed people in here are acting as if she just released this statement herself when the woman is minding her own business.. Let her work in whatever way it works for her.

She was not the only one missing the nomination after hitting all the various precursors last year, it happened to Caitriona Balfe and Ruth Negga as well last year.

This year it happened to Viola Davis and Danielle Deadwyler.

It has happened in the past tones of times to other prestigious actors from Marion Cotillard, Tilda Swinton to Amy Adams and Di Caprio, Gaga is in good company.

There's always somebody who miss the Oscar nomination every year despite hit all the precursors, nobody is getting nominated everytime they make a movie, it went this way and getting a NYFCC win (the most prestigious and old ciritics circle) and being recognize again from SAG and BAFTA at her second movie was already a big achievement, the rest is just speculation like it has been told you.

Shady AF comebacks! You thought you ate this. The difference here that is Natalie won an Oscar for acting and an extremely physically demanding role, and is seen as one of the best actresses of her generation. “Lee” cannot relate! I don’t know why you wasted your time looking all of that up to post on a silly forum where people take jabs at each other. You’re losing the idgaf war babe. Y’all get so worked up when people take the p*ss out of how ridiculous she is. Live a little.

all I’m seeing here is that she wasn’t nominated despite the fact that every little monster on here spent months telling us she was the front runner and was going to win.

"In a way, I realized that Arkham Asylum was actually the most normal place I've been in all my life," says Lady Gaga (now known as Lee), of A Star is Born fame. But the haunts of Arkham Aslyum are a far cry from the luxurious pianos and mellow guitar strings often found under her fingers. I ask her if this change has been tough to process. She laughs, and for a moment I believe it is Lee laughing.

"My dear, Arkham Asylum produces a music itself," she says, with a crooked smirk. "There is music to the insanity that can't be heard by everyone - and nor should it be, I believe. I had always heard this music, faint notes of it - shoved into locker rooms at school, acting my heart out at the diners... I always heard the faint notes of insanity, often accentuated by those around me." I ask her, perhaps boldly...does she think that these experiences helped her play Harley better?

"I think Harley had been playing Gaga through my life. She was always this suppressed side of me that I could not allow to breathe free, that I was always scared of. But no more."

"Am I talking to Lee right now?" I ask, concerned. "What do you think?"

Dumb deflection and pointless comparison, Portman is acting since when she's a child, Gaga is at her third movie as actress.

You bashed 'method acting' and they just pointed out Portman used that method as well.

Nobody has ever claimed that Gaga was the frontrunner, KStewart was the frontrunner and then the race became split up with Kidman winning the Globe and Chastain the SAG, Gaga was predicted to be nominated from all the media outlet because she was the only one who hit all the precursors, that's all, you clearly don't even know what you're talking about.

Training so you can convincingly play a ballerina isn’t on par with her antics; in that scenario, maybe the antics would feel more justified. No one called Natalie “Nina” during filming and she never did backflips and front handsprings to convince people she was a serious actress. She simply gave a tremendous performance. Pulling one quote from a profile isn’t the “gotcha” you think it is.

And I actually do know what I’m talking about; I followed that season and I was one of the few people on here saying Gaga wasn’t a slam dunk because of how divisive the film was. I was quoted by so many accounts on here who wrote dissertations about how she was LOCKED because she hit all the precursors, despite the fact that precursors aren’t as predictive as everyone thinks they are. We can keep going back and forth but ultimately it’s pretty clear her campaigning rubbed people in the actors branch the wrong way. To say otherwise is just being obtuse for the sake of being obtuse.

The meltdown. I'm not the one with the most posts in here so I'm not wasting any time on someone I dont like. You're trolling in this thread. Stick to tracking Mind Your Business. Crossroads won TWO Razzies for your fave, live with that.

Please, just stop grab at straws with pointless takes and comparisons, every actor has its own way and method, tones of legendary actors used method, it works for certains ones and it doesn't for others, there's not a rule for what it's better or not, the result is what matters.

Not sure why you're so bothered from whatever method works for Gaga and what she decides to do on set as if that affects your life to the point to have most posts in this thread, it's giving pressed and it's seriously embarrassing.
