its not bad at all but I certainly expected much better from BB and Abel

it's shaping up to be a hit tho, already #11 on AM

Not surprised. Travis has a stronghold

on a specific demographic… young straight men across all racial lines, he could hum on a track for 10 mins and they’d still get it to number one. It’s almost like a cult.

Will this be on Travis' new album? Because this sounds like a Bad Bunny song. :dies: This is not what I expected from Travis.

They're dragging the song on his Instagram page lol

It just came out

this is giving frontloaded i believe. its one of those collabs that is too big that it fails as a result. Kinda like Power Is Power and Dont Call Me Angel. I think the debut is massive but it will tumble down the charts

This song is getting dragged to hell.  It won’t have any longevity and might hurt the album.

The reception would be totally different if the lead artist was Bad Bunny or The Weeknd.

It might be nothing new for all of them but it slaps idc :bird:

Went to check out the song & then realized I've had Travis blocked on my Spotify for a year now. And I think I'll keep it that way :bird:

Just because it's Top 5 day 1 of release doesn't mean it's shaping up to be a hit

This is Travis Scott's comeback song, of course there's initial hype for it. :skull:

My reading is just fine

When it's still that high 2 weeks from now, then it's a hit. If it's that high a week from now it's shaping up to be a hit

okay girl nice to know the thresholds you just made up. You know something can shape up to be a hit and end up not being right? Like HER was shaping up to be a successful artists but ended up as a flop

He's allegedly going for a world music vibe.

travis' parts are my fav and it probably should have been a solo song

This sounded really flat on all fronts

As someone who has NEVER been able to get into Travis' music nor understood the hype (it's always sounded like robotic noise), this is a...BOP!

I appreciate the pivot too, as it's clear he was trying something different. Maybe it's my Pop-leaning ear, but there's a clear melody, decipherable lyrics, it's radio and club-friendly, and kinda feels like the type of progression/experimentation (for him) that helps an artist not be one-dimensional.

If anything, I wish it was solo. As I can "tell' the assembly of these three in particular is deliberately meant to present as a flex. And while Abel and Bad Bunny did their thing, I'd have equally appreciated it as a solo track.

H.E.R has a album that spent 181 weeks on Billboard 200

Pretty sure that qualifies as being successful but maybe it starts at 182 weeks for you:swan:

Perhaps another example would have sufficed your comparison :coffee2:

Even with the decline after, she still hasn't flopped for a era, her last album is Platinum eligible which is the same as Summer Walker's "Still Over It" album:dies:
