“Americans” being a couple dumb influencers on TikTok :skull: Very odd how much European ATRLers generalize a country of over 300 million people.

I live in an American city and walk more per day than the average European. Would never want to live in that dusty continent, it’s hasbeen’d.

:ahh::ahh::ahh::ahh::ahh::ahh:

No American city is better, smarter, cleaner, healthier or more culturally relevant than Copenhagen, Berlin, Stockholm, Amsterdam, Paris, Vienna, Rome, etc etc. Get real.

The STENCH of London, Amsterdam, Rome, and Paris was enough for me to never want to step foot in any of them again 🤢 The cities you listed (and many more) are all disgusting and rat-infested.

Luv American cities with our clean sidewalks, buildings with air conditioning, food from every culture, etc.

I mean I enjoy the walking but she isn't lying. It was a whole day trip going to Chica terra from Florence.

Europe is the best place to vacation and I say that as an American.

As an American, I hate it. I'd rather walk everywhere. Living here is terrible, the food is filled with poisonous chemicals (I try to watch what I eat very carefully, but affordability is another issue), everyone is angry and depressed. We don't even blink over mass shootings anymore.  And on top of that, we're a laughing stock to other countries, even with their own problems. I will admit our country is a mess, and those are only a few of my personal issues with it.

However, many feel the same way, and it's not easy to just leave, or push for change. I wish I lived anywhere else, but also would feel unwelcome as an American trying to get out of here.

Y’all really need to stop picking out one American influencer to make grand statements about a country with almost 350 million people.

Pure delusional behaviour. There's not a single serious index in the world that backs up whatever you're saying.

freedom of speech - everything is above the US at the moment.

This is simply untrue :rip:

OT: I love walkable cities. If anything she should have complained about the no AC or lack of water.

It’s because you can’t smoke weed or pee anywhere otherwise you’ll get shot. I get it. Hashtag second commandment. God bless ‘Murica. And by clean sidewalks you mean sidewalks with 1 person per 24 hours? :ahh:  Also, if NYC isn’t the biggest breeder of the biggest rats in the world. I hope you’re not alive when those rats chew through all the city boulders and make the city sink. And I oop-

Have you never heard of New York? Copenhagen more relevant than Los Angeles? :deadbanana4:

I've been on the Amalfi coast multiple times, everytime I've always had private transportation, it's essential for that location since it's not even safe or easy drive over there clearly, taxis exist along with agencies that organize the transfert to the location you need to reach, it's just a matter of organization and inform yourself in time.

Gosh, I hate going outside not thinking about that someone can shoot me anytime.

You are more likely to get stabbed and mugged in any place you go in Europe, but I was really just being sarcastic in my post :rip:

It's always fun to see the 'bbut stabbing 🤓' counterargument considering it's bullshit. The stabbing rate is higher in USA than in most of european countries, sans a couple of eastern ones like Romania, including the UK which gets mentioned often for some reason despite the rate there being only 0.08 per 100k, compared to the 0.6 in US
