Had a feeling this was coming...

Good for her. The label wouldn't let her release anything other than EPs and quick lil singles :deadbanana2:

Well good choice, cause I really thought she lost it. Im sure she will come back with better new stuff !

Her label really didn't help her achieve what she can achieve. She is so good, I hope she can recover and find joy in creating some banging new music.

This is actually great news for her! She's too talented to be wasted the way her career has been handled since 2020.

omg I just shed a tear reading this... I'm so happy for her and the journey ahead of her. Labels are evil. Glad she's free

yeah i dont see it happening for her sadly. she been trying it since like what? 2017? Brooke Candy days?

her label probably dropped her as there isnt really a way to market her. what message does she want to convey outside of being a azealia banks and lady gaga love child…

Not all success stories happen overnight, she signed to EMI in 2019. On top of that, now she's able to release whatever she wants and let the music speak for itself. An album from her is long overdue and she's very creatively involved with her craft both sonically and visually so there's no reason to write her off. If anything she can thrive independently just like Tinashe and RAYE are doing. She just has to start from square one again.

they had her doing collabs with khalid lol. literally didnt have a single clue what to do with her. it is sad but its also understandable on their behalf. making an album is very expensive. if she doesnt have her sound yet and there isnt much of a fanbase they will lose the money if it flops.

all she really needed was a hit during this timeframe

yeah they were holding her back this was for the best tbh, she’s built a good fanbase over the years which is good for any independent artist, i think she’ll be fine

She needs time to grow. She doesn’t have much of an identity but she has charisma and charm which a LOT of artists are lacking

Posted

Anyone who is shocked by this is clueless. This was so obvious and beyond overdue.

Finally, the way EMI handled her post Hot Hot was nothing short of embarrassing. She's clearly got potential, hopefully we get a chance to see her vision more clearly now

GOOD! Her label has been very obviously draining her creativity and blocking anything productive from happening for years. She has an X factor that seems to be very rare, and she will thrive now that she’s free! I feel like they’ll regret how they neglected her in the long run tbh

right like this type of starpower isn't something you just find on the street. she's got IT. :jonnycat:

Happy for Bree's Runaways news chapters :clap3:

ready for her RAYE moment

Not surprised. BUT she released her best single to date All Night at EMI, so we'll see what she will cook alone.

This is great news.

I really lost touch with her post hot hot and she was genuinely one of my favourite artists at current. It was obvious to see the music she was making wasn’t anything near her potential and you could tell she wasn't whole heartedly in it.

Her first EP and mixtape were phenomenal so i’m excited to see what she holds in the future.

She has a sound tho. You’re really not making sense. She has a clear artistic vision. The label messed her up.
