Tesla existed long before he bought it, it wasn't his idea to begin with. He just bought it.

 

Twitter was just a consequence of him being egotistical enough to say he'll buy it and was forced to by the government. His ideas on how Twitter is being run is evident by his posts (engineers have said he's a brain dead moron who doesn't realize this isn't 90s tech anymore). He's been known to be chaperoned by his companies to be preoccupied with other issues so he doesn't actually **** up the day to day operations.
