I’m actually shocked people are sharing honest opinions about the song and not getting downvoted in here like the past week :biblio:

Oh my god is this guy like a Taylor Swift for MAGAs?? He’s album starts with a song called “born with a beer in my hand” :skull: Olivia sis we need to do something

I’m about to buy a copy on ITunes. Just streamed it on my Apple Music and Spotify, too.

I'm most shocked by the people saying this song is mediocre or not up to par with her past material

It's literally her best song...

now that it is not a guarantee #1, the song sucks of course.

No, that’s taylor swift. He is, however, the male taylor swift.

I hope she can still get the #1.

I hope she gets it, Morgan has overstayed his welcome and if there's no major release in the upcoming weeks, he's coming for OTR's wig!

It’s not a good song and has little replay value, so it’s not surprising.

I think that’s the main thing. The replay value is low. Even if you like the song, it’s just not as instantly infectious as the three main Sour singles. It’s not particularly catchy, the wordiness in the verses feels kinda garbled, and the stop-start structure doesn’t feel suited to a pop hit (see also: Green Light, which is great but had the same issue.)

Happier Than Ever is more linear with its soft/quiet dichotomy and honestly more like two songs in one, hence why there’s a version of just the louder second half. By comparison, I could see your average pop listener getting lost in Vampire, not sure what to make of it as a song.

I guess some Swifties dropping her really had an effect, huh?

She hasn't done promo for cs. Promoted karma the weekend it came out but that's about it.

Cruel Summer is no 2 on TTH. Are we still acting as if that isn't promo in 2023 ?

Olivia needs to switch it up. She still has yet to release a single that isn’t about a guy dumping her and moving on while she’s still sad

Her entire album is about that one theme. Very one trick pony.

I don't even like her song but let me give it a few streams to try to help get that racist out of the number 1 spot.

Winston still has it at #1. :duca:

I actually am :deadbanana:

I thought she would easily have an Easy On Me moment and would double the points of Morgan but if she gets that #1 it'll be very close :rip:

Her performance on iTunes and streaming platforms was also underwhelming next to what i first expected. I think Olivia still hasn't grown an army of white teenage girls obsessed with her like BTS, Taylor and Harry have and still relies a lot on the "viral" factor, so the song's performance will depend on how the actual public will connect with it.

The debut will be good but obviously heavily boosted by SOUR hype. I hope something sticks on TikTok otherwise this era will be a lil frontloaded :dancehall:

I loved the song and i'm rooting for Olivia though.
