Billions of dollars of PPP loans are forgiven for the rich and powerful, but this is where they have outrage and draw the line

America is truly a failed experiment

Hang tight guys with my OP updates. I'll take suggestions from anyone.

They unanimously said in one case there was no standing but that Missouri did in the other case and that's where the split was.

And I'll continue to ignore my payments like I have been doing :alexz3:

And the ******* loan processor who was why Missouri was granted standing (MOHELA) was just given the biggest student loan processing contract out of any loan processor by the White House. :ahh:

No, Dems and Republicans are not the same - many have different motivations and intentions, but Dems' capitulation to norms and institutions ends up with results that are materially the same. Dems may feel bad about student debt but feeling bad doesn't take a balance down to $0.

Under both Biden and Trump there's zero debt forgiveness unless Biden uses the Higher Education Act of 1965. That's just a fact.

My first thought here is a picking and choosing based on their other cases of who has standing and who doesn't. No consistency.

If Biden actually lets the student loan payments resume without providing any relief, he 100% will lose in 2024.

The impact of this will be far reaching and devastating to the economy, I feel. Using the HEROES act was kind of a crap shoot though.

All six of them disgust me to my very core. I hope they are one day confronted by the realities of what they have done and live to regret it before they rot.

The opportunity to ease the pressure on working people was so great, here - so many good things could have come from this forgiveness, even if it wasn't as much as it should have been. Now they've crushed that. And it's not like you can just refuse to pay - eventually, they'll come after your wages and tax returns.

Yep, I'm sorry to say I have to agree. Young black voters are his make it or break it in cities in the Upper Midwest. This decision tips things over the edge for me for a slim Trump win or a substantial DeSantis, mostly because the above will stay home, leave the top line blank or vote third party.

Now, as to whether they should is a separate debate beat to death here in 2016 I won't engage in again but you all are welcome to do that.

Both parties are the same, they just claim they’re not. The reality is that they BOTH benefit from the status quo and will do whatever they can to maintain it.

First payments are due October 1st.

Biden has 93 days until the beginning of the end of his presidency.

:ahh: Like, of course. Who is surprised? The GOP can cheer this on all they want, but these decisions are only going to fire the Dems up. I agree that Dems are not doing enough, but Dems are going to be pissed come next year and the messaging from the left needs to focus on how insane these decisions are.

What is the government going to do with the $39 tax return I received last year? :rip:

This logic just does not make sense to me because it is basically saying "people will be so mad at Biden for the GOP striking down his plan that they will let the GOP take control".

Gen Z and the younger voting population are much more in tune with what is going on right now and they understand the problem standing in their way is the GOP. They are not going to sit back and let the GOP take over when the GOP is who are making these horrible decisions.

I have faith in this kids because they know this is what their future holds if they sit back and do nothing, and nothing points to them not doing anything. They will just get angrier than ever before.

People don't vote against things. They vote for things. Voting is transactional. The era of Trump having a one-time exception does not change human psychology.
