There is literally no competition for the number 1 spot this year isn't it? I really cant think of a movie releasing this year that can give another billion moment

:clap3: oh wow

Nope, Barbie has this set in stone. There doesn’t seem to be any threat in the next year either.

The Marvels will probably barely breakeven, which is a shame cause it looks much better than the first Captain Marvel :deadbanana4: can’t see any Marvel cross a billion other than Fantastic 4 and to a stretch Deadpool 3 (and ofc the 2 Avengers movies).

i was thinking not 1b movies this year, both Super Mario and Barbie were big surprises. I mean i was expecting for them to be big but like 500-600M for Barbie and 700-800 for Mario would have been already amazing.

Oppenheimer doing 900M a big surprise too of course.

Really the year of surprises instead of these infinite sagas at some point you knew how much money they would have done 2 years before coming. Box office became really boring at some point.

The eras tour is next :gaycat2:

I think $1.4 is a given considering it's still pulling 15-20M every weekend and it also still has the IMAX showings.

Elemental surpassing Quantumania when the former opened to $30M and the latter opened to over $100M. :rip:

Wow seems like if you are the only female artist ever that can sold out 100 stadium shows outside the Us you're also the biggest music star in the world. Crazy!

Can imagine the numbers of this in China. Coming for a biggest box office scores than actual tours only there
