JO1s Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Wicked only having a sub 30% drop and almost being at 300 mil domestically is insane. 13
OnlyManInTheWorld Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Moana 2 was horribly boring tbh. What a disappointment. 7
byzantium Posted December 1 Posted December 1 I'm so happy for wicked. It deserve's Moana 2's success. 7
Gorjesspazze9 Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Disney came back hard this year 3 back to back all time record smashing movies. Deadpool & Wolverine biggest R rated Movie ever, Inside out 2 biggest animation ever, and now Moana about to be another billion Smash…. 2
Maneater Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Seen a lot of good reactions to wicked, not so much for Moana 2 2

But I was told by some ATRLers that it's not performing as well as it should Told y'all it's gonna have insane longevity People are LOVING this movie and it's having a great word of mouth (unlike Mopanned 2, but that's not gonna stop families from taking their kids to it tho ) 5 1
Reverse Warholian Posted December 1 Posted December 1 Moana crushing as expected Those who clocked Wicked's opening weekend as an underperformance (aka they moved the goalposts) must be feeling pretty foolish now. $400M domestic is guaranteed at this point, and it wouldn't be surprising if it ends up in the $500M range. Gladiator 2 also doing cute. 2
fridayteenage Posted December 2 Posted December 2 Hopefully Moana 2 will be the first movie to hit $900 mil that's built around a WOC (and then a billion). 1

ImpressMeMuch Posted December 2 Posted December 2 Those Moana numbers are so embarrassing I hope everyone seeing it looks forward to a future of AI slop because they clearly have no standards (or are being duped) go wicked!
fridayteenage Posted December 2 Posted December 2 moana 2 will be the first movie centered around a WOC to make $900 mil (then a billion). I see people melting down over its success already.

It kinda feels like a rushed mix of random scenes from different episodes.
