sailor angel Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Was this any good? It doesn't look that interesting but Bong Joon Ho has never missed for me so idk if I'll like it or not 1
Katamari Posted March 9 Posted March 9 A crazy budget but it looks cute tbh. The book It's based on wasn't all that known so I don't get the budget

50thStateofMind Posted March 9 Posted March 9 they spent 80 mill on the marketing and I barely heard a whisper of it never saw a clip, trailer, storyline either... 1

byzantium Posted March 9 Posted March 9 (edited) I have never heard of this film ever. Did they do any marketing? I never learn which films are even out until 1-2 week later. And by then theaters drop them. Edited March 9 by byzantium

Expand Yeah I agree with you. No idea where that $80 mil went this movie barely had any promo and a lot of people weren't aware of this movie at all. Outside of Robert and mark ruffalo this movie doesn't have super well known actors to be so expensive. But I reccomend people to watch it. It's a good movie and Robert always delivers.
Poxy Posted March 9 Posted March 9 The fact that this was delayed so much… WB had no faith in it for a long time. Rob looks good in the film too, it's a shame
fridayteenage Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Like most actors these days, I don't think Robert's name can carry a big hit
Gorjesspazze9 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Nobody goes to the movies anymore unless it's a blockbuster franchise. Not surprising. Most people Wait for streaming or digital
Bloodflowers. Posted March 9 Posted March 9 I have never even heard about this film before or what the storyline is about

futurenostalgic Posted March 9 Posted March 9 People on twittter been saying "where was the marketing" when uhhh they've been spamming it hard in social media... but honestly if i were WB team, i would not know HOW to even market this... it's.....unique but in kind of a mid, sloppy way 1
thatsmydemi Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Watched it last night. It was a bit random but entertaining.
Rabbit Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Original IP's and stories bombing at the box office isn't something to celebrate

prézli Posted March 9 Posted March 9 He won the Oscar in 2020 and the movie was out 5 years later. All the hype are dead now.
IBeMe Posted March 9 Posted March 9 You can't convince me this isn't some kind of money laundering thing. Lots of films are because what are these budgets? Like WTF
Mostar Posted March 9 Posted March 9 Watched the movie two nights ago, and was disappointed. First act was fine, then it got boring. It was so predictable. I couldn't believe this was the same director that gave Parasite and The Host. It clearly lacked a solid point of view. It felt saccharine and dissonant at the same time. 2
