Somebody utterly failed to look up the history of how Christopher Nolan movies performed at the box office (aka, they always have incredible legs and longevity)

There’s a whole wiki page about it. Why so mad?

Because in several markets (including the 2nd biggest country on earth), Oppenheimer has outgrossed Barbie: https://screenrant.com/oppenheimer-movie-box-office-barbie-comparison-international/#:~:text=Oppenheimer has surprisingly outperformed Barbie, over three times as much.

This is a topic about GLOBAL box office

I mean honestly is anyone surprised? The Oppenheimer movie covers a significant time in history, the other is a film about a pop star.

It's very impressive tbh

yes Barbenheimer is a factor but it's not the main reason this smashed, only for the first 1-2 weeks tbh
The Nolan brand, the casts, great wom...

Oppenheimer did half of what Barbie did for the first few weeks but now it's catching up

obviously, it won't surpass Barbie but getting close to a billion is already great considering it's a 3-hour biopic, I was surprised that the international market is way stronger than the domestic for this one

So impressive. It's too bad that the top ten looks like it will be just out of reach.

Barbenheimer was more promo for the movie than any actual promo for the movie. It’s effects definitely go past the first “2 weeks”
