It doesn't seem like anyone's posted about it yet, but Talk to Me pulled over 10M during its OW and seems to have pretty good audience reception. Hopefully it legs out and A24 snatches another indie hit.

Barbie is basically locked to be #1 these next two weekends. I also predict its 5th weekend will be bigger than Blue Beetle’s OW. Gran Turismo will probably be what unseats it at #1.

I posted several pages back about TTM making nearly its entire budget back on opening day. Though apparently A24 also payed in the upper seven digits (so like $8-9 million) for distribution rights, because it's technically an indie film from Australia, so it'll have to make a decent amount more to break even. But WOM is really good, so I'm excited to see how it will perform over the next few weeks. A24 only releases numbers on a weekly basis rather than a daily basis, so we'll have to wait to see.

I’ll be helping it break even tonight :clap3:

TMNT is off to a great start. With the great cinemascore and critic reviews it’ll probably leg out nicely too. Only $70M production budget so finally a win for Paramount.

Saw Barbie 3 times and i need a break from theatres but I’ll probably go see it in a few weeks.

People are overestimating TMNT, I don't see it doing that much. Barbie should surpass Mario's overall weeks at #1 :hippo:

TMNT will probably kill off Elementals legs since families have something new to watch.

I'm so happy Barbie is so successful. JADED franchies lost this summer :clap3:

I saw TMNT today. It’s very cute! The way the guys talked to each other has such perfect direction. It’s natural, and it sounds like they took 4 teen boys and just recorded them hanging out. Hoping it does well well!

$11.2M early Thursday number for Barbie. That's the biggest regular (non-holiday) 2nd Thursday, in history.

My weekend predicts

2. TMNT- $29M (3-day, $42M 5-day)

3. The Meg 2- $28M

4. Oppenheimer- $26M ($226M dom total)

5. Haunted Mansion- $11M

Haunted Mansion was obviously going to bomb, nothing unexpected here.

As for Elementals, it needs $450M to pay off the $200M budget and hopefully it will reach that. Japan will decide whenever this movie will break even or not.

Meg 2 overperforming already :ohwow:

Shows how certain bad movies like this and Mario can be impervious to bad reviews.

I thought Meg was DOA. People really do love their shark movies lol.
