I know the album never fully was released but I can hear that 2010s maxi pop production under there it just seems …. Cheap. I'm sad because I grew up loving those sonics and I will stream regardless. Just wonder what would be the case if she maybe paid better producers to sound more similar Bonnie McKee has been persistent in stating the L'd songs were the unfinished productions, and I firmly believe her and think what we've heard thus far is amazing. 1

Taylor's, especially the pop and electronic tracks, are botched. I am amazed with the vocals on Bonnie's, 10 years later she can still sing the house down. 5
Motivation93 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Sorry yall I don't want the smoke ! I think I should rephrase and wonder what the true 2010-2013 production would sound like especially if max martin and dr Luke were behind it?

I don't think it would've sound much different from this since she got most of the original producers to remake the songs. Max and Luke were never that involved in the album. 1
Motivation93 Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Ahh I didn't know she recruited the same people. Apologies. I thought it was almost like a cheaper rehash remake

I thought it was almost like a cheaper rehash remake For the most part she's recruited the same people. Oliver Goldstein has returned to produce his songs which is why Hot City and Forever 21 sound so good. I'm pretty sure Joakim is coming back too so his songs should sound good. For the songs that don't have their original producers returning Bonnie has been working on them herself along with frequent collaborator David Morup, and the results have been hit or miss. Jenny sounds good but they botched Slay. The only songs I'm worried about are the Greg Kurstin (Rewind Your Heart) and Max Martin (Everything But You) tracks, since I'm sure Bonnie couldn't afford to bring them back. Dr. Luke won't have any songs on the album since Bonnie dropped him after the sexual assault scandal, which is why Right Now won't ever be released. 2

collin Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Not 'they botched Slay' when it sounds the literal exact same. Let's be serious 4 1 1
Bubble Tea Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I'm so excited for the album! Much more fun to talk about it on the other forum which actually has taste and stans Bonnie in the way she deserves.
postergirl Posted May 14 Posted May 14 The past decade just flashed by me when I was listening to live performances of these songs. I can't believe that we are so close to the release 1

Just wonder what would be the case if she maybe paid better producers to sound more similar ??? Bonnie's re-recordings devour Taylor's on average. No amount of money on earth can compensate for talent. Taylor did hers as a cash grab and so she could continue to profit off her old music even more than she already was. Bonnie is doing this as a labour of love and for the fans. It's literally no comparison. 2 3
Galah Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I'm so glad this is finally coming. Am I missing something, or are there actually three new songs on here? I knew "Snatched", but don't think I've heard of "Show You Mine" or "Just a Kiss" before. SO glad that "Rewind Your Heart" and "Everything But You" made it, and I hope that the feature means "Don't Get Mad Get Famous" is finally a full song as God intended. The cover art is nice, I guess she was going with the whole Teenage Dream thing of the cover actually being artwork rather than a photograph. I love how it looks like it's literally glowing in elements. The artist did a great job.
DevinWylde Posted May 14 Posted May 14 I wonder if this pretty popular fan edit from a few years ago influenced the cover at all 3

And after listening to Forever 21 which is my favorite, I was listening to the singles and I had the impression that she really put so much effort into these re recordings and they're quite fine, even better than the demos I'd say Edited May 14 by Descending
Descending Posted May 14 Posted May 14 FOREVER 21 SOUNDS SO GOOD I CAN'T WAIT TO GET TO THE FULL ALBUM

This one is done by @KallumLavigne
ImpressMeMuch Posted May 14 Posted May 14 not the artist on twitter coming for people saying it looks like AI and acting like they're in the wrong sweetie the audience doesn't lie
Club classic Posted May 14 Posted May 14 Rewind Your Heart and Everything But You are some of my favorite pop songs ever, she had the same 'I'm about to make pop history' attitude she had for Teenage Dream ugh how I miss simple storytelling verses and explosive choruses also Everything But You's bridge is top tier can't wait to officially have this
