Just FYI Pitchfork gave Caroline Polacheck’s album an 8.3, and that was in a whole higher league that this.

They gave Midnights a 7.0.

It’s gonna be around 7.0 give or take a few tenths. Probably 6.5-6.9.

vampire and bad idea right both got Best New Tracks. This album will likely get well above the 7.0 that both SOUR and Midnights have. Probably 7.7-7.9.

lmao I think her lyrics and vibe is kinda too juvenile for me (I'm 28 btw)...
But get him back!, vampire and bad idea right? are such ******* bops and undeniable great, now I will have to listen to the whole album.
She truly won.

BTW, Pitchfork will give this a great score, she got two BNT, I mean, I expect something close to an 8 at least.

We will not tolerate lacy slander! Put some respect on this websites founder. Without ATRLacy you couldn’t be here right now.

I’m a couple years older than Olivia and a gay dude but there’s something that just clicks for me with this album. Like bad idea right is very much relatable to me and get him back too. Even if the lyrics may be a little juvenile I feel like the vintage rock influences balance it out. This album could’ve come out in 2003 or 1993 and it would’ve fit in just fine. I’m hearing Hole, Liz Phair, Alanis, Pretenders, and Avril influences all over it. She’s just sooooo good and timeless to me I love it.

This is why so many people aged 30 and above are loving it as it’s reminiscent of the grunge / alt scene that was huge in the 90s. This album makes me feel so nostalgic and it also helps that she has some extremely relatable lyrics regardless of your age.

“It takes strength to forgive but I don’t feel strong” hit me right in the gut - the human experience doesn’t change that drastically as you get older. A lot of the things Olivia sings about are things some people never lose, you just learn to live with it.

I haven’t felt this way about a singer since Avril Lavigne came out in 2002 and I’m glad that younger fans have Olivia as Avril was my saviour growing up and I’m not sure if I’d still be alive if I didn’t have her music. She really got me through my teen angst years.

A stunning album that feels way above what was already an impressive debut, Sour. Pretty isn’t Pretty could easily fit on the next season of Heartstopper too

Get your facts straight Desire got 8.7

Olivia has 2 BNM songs. She’s not scoring anything below a 7.7 ever. They already had the album to review by then. Didn’t quote the Midnights part because its clearly bait. SOUR scored the same as Midnights and P4K clearly likes GUTS more

I'm starting to think the next single should be All-American *****. I got friends telling me about the song and how good it is. :soda:

That song has movie soundtrack written all over it, so I won’t be shocked if we do end up hearing it being used somewhere.

She truly made an ALBUM huh. I can't say I replay a specific song over and over, cause I actually play the whole album

I am glad I am not alone and seeing Ajay think this is mega immature/boring mostly is so me. It has its moments but people pretending this is some artistic masterpiece and it's metacritic score wasn't bought is so funny
