I wish Pretty isn't Pretty was pushed as the single because its a good blend of her slower, pretty stuff and delivery with her 90s rock influence. It truly feels right out of a 90s coming of age movie soundtrack and the chorus is so lush and feel-good. Super impressed and feels like a smash waiting to happen

Ok I’m sorry but small rant here: I will never understand why people throw out the whole “this is meant for kids” argument as a way to either insult a piece of art or protect it from criticism. Y’all understand something can be kid friendly and still be an amazing piece of art, right? Do you think everything that’s made for kids is like Kidz bop or something? Y’all really need to get a grip

it’s SO weird, like first of all not everything is made for you and second of all, being able to empathize with more than your own experience makes you a more broadbanded emotional being so… maybe try that?

yeah this is kind of my thoughts, its fair to feel like you don't relate to something but that isn't necessarily the intention of art. being able to understand and appreciate that this is an artist sharing her own perspective and personality is kind of the key goal imo, but i guess everyone has different thoughts with music idk

I respectfully disagree I am definitely not within that age range and I feel like the way she captures the essence of a teenager/navigating and moving into adulthood on this record compared to SOUR, you can see growth in her personal life and musically so even though I am not 13 year old girl I can relate and understand and she makes it sound beautiful

This is really good. Feels more rock-ish and alternative than Sour, tbh, which is more than fine for me. 

The highlights: the singles, lacy, making the bed (I wish the final guitar was longer and until the end), get him back, love is embarrasing, the grudge (sounds kinda similar to Drivers License tho) and Pretty Isn't Pretty (this is my favorite one so far).
