trainsskyscrapers Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 As someone who thinks "Deja Vu" shifted something on my "best songs of all time" list, what should I check out first?

NoOneDiesFromLove Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 AAB kind of a horrible song. Get Him Back is good except for the verses 1
Baby Judas Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Billboard ranked the album. 1. get him back! 2. all-american b*tch 3. vampire 4. ballad of a homeschooled girl 5. bad idea right? 6. love is embarrassing 7. teenage dream 8. pretty isn't pretty 9.the grudge 10. making the bed 11. logical 12. lacy serving tasteless with that lacy slander.

as926 Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Just want to ask anyone comparing this slightly to the “Avril sound” to expand your knowledge of female rock of the last 30 years. Olivia’s sonic references here in those loud moments are far deeper and closer to riot grrrl/Hole/Garbage vibes, plus a number of other alt-pop/rock acts from far before Avril’s career was a thing. Annnyway, what I love about her is that she is making what would now be considered more “traditional” albums without primary concern for single creation and more attention to bringing a full and cohesive story together. I’m obsessed with this already! She’s giving me such beautiful 90s energy. 5 4
smholiv Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 every song is incredible byeeee, this really is like a massive leap forward from SOUR which was already one of my favourite albums of 2021 she's upgraded basically everything, its brimming with personality, super cool vocal delivery (and lots of interesting range!), and the production and influences are so well crafted. the only "dud" to me is logical, but I suppose it'd grow need those bonus songs NOW 2
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 The Grudge sounds just like Drivers License? For a Taylor diss track I was expecting something better
Haschwalth Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 get him back isn't the bop that i expected it to be all american b*tch >>> 2

She’s giving me such beautiful 90s energy. and she was only 18-19 to begin with It takes a lot of ANGST and NERVE and TALENT to actually make an album that sounds exactly almost identical to an era when she wasn't even born 1
AmandaHP Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 So much better than Sour I really like it!
BuzzCharts Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Listening now...... MAKING THE BED IS THAT SONG
Marianah Adkins Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 I prefer Sour tbh but I can see the vision in this album. Vampire, AAB and lacy ate
TalkThatRihanna Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Get Him Back doesn’t sound like a hit to me. BIR is very similar to it (and the better version). Although not my favorite, Making The Bed should’ve been the Fall single

DV was my fave from Sour and Lacy is my fave from Guts. I think it’s my fave for the same reason too, which is that they’re both the most unique songs on their respective albums. 1
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 1. vampire 2. lacy 3. get him back 4. ballad of a homeschooled girl 5. love is embarrassing the rest

Raspy Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 already finished it 3 times still cant believe bad idea right? is the best song on the album
Into The Void Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 I felt really old listening to this for some weird reason
RenHonjo Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 I just hate how most people just want to fuel the taylor drama instead of actually enjoying the music
Starkboy Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Lacy first whole listen made the song much better She sounds so good too
Tm4074 Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Love the album! I really wasn't expecting her to top SOUR but she did. The ballads are the weaker songs on the album, but still good...no skips for me. 1
