How are you guys feeling about the album now? Any new faves?

It didn't grow on me at all :monkey: It's the first time I actually dislike a full album by him. When everyone was dragging CLB back in 2021 I was here getting my life to it (and I still love it nowadays) but this album is simply not clicking with me...

Oh wow, that's interesting. It's okay if nothing is hitting for you. The album is definitely a grower and it's something you certainly have to give time to. Maybe give it another go in a few days and see how you feel about it.

Its never going to be my favourite Drake album but it’s definitely growing on me, has some of his best R&B cuts in recent years imo. My current top 5 is

7969 Santa

Drew A Picasso

Members Only

Bahamas Promise

Away From Home.

8am type songs are always highlights and Amen feels like an interlude to me so I won’t put it in my top 5.

You?

Never say never 😉

After not liking the first couple songs on my first few listens, I'm now enjoying the whole thing. I think it's clear that it was originally intended to be an R&B album. Tried Our Best leaked months ago and the R&B cuts are the best songs/ the songs with the BARK radio bits. I think after making the bulk of the album, Drake went on tour and concluded that he needed to add some more songs to the album and that's what prompted the delays.

I'm not mad at anything on it tbh. I think the best run on the album is from track 8-23. Outside of that, Amen/First Person Shooter are also standouts.

I haven't stopped playing the album since it dropped and I'm getting fond of more songs each time.

Good choices. These are easily some of the best songs on the album.

My top 5 I would put What would pluto do in 2nd place but everything I'd rank top 5.

There's a chance they go #1 in back to back weeks.

Drake and J cole first, please.

Is it getting close? A few days ago predictors had a 30+ point gap between the two.

It got closer but I think FPS will squeak by since today is the last day for tracking.

Good luck Jermaine. I will not recognize all these #2 peaks like he’s the new Eve.

2 more days, and yesterday's numbers are out and it's 600K lead, and tomorrow is gonna be more. IDGAF will be number 1 for sure.

Wait so he could get a 3rd #1 from this album next week?  :deadbanana4:

After re-listening, it's still mid but Fear of Heights, Daylight, FPS playing back-to-back was the highlight of the album

He is such a ******* clown for changing and downgrading the instrumental of IDGAF, I know he is seething that Yeat ate him up and everyone was clowning the "money for fun" part.

The audio engineers are the ones who fixed the mix for the entire album and improved the audio quality for all the songs, not just IDGAF. Drake had absolutely nothing to do with that.

But it sounded way better before, they literally cut some of Yeat's adlibs

Maybe to you. They mixed all the songs on the album and the entire album sounds better. Maybe you're just used to the older mix but either way, Drake had no hand in that. It's simply being done now because the album had to be released in time and he was recording till the last minute and so the songs couldn't be mixed to perfection back then.
