prézli Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Quote “Fergie’s really happy doing what she’s doing and that’s what she chose to do,” said Will.i.am when asked about performing together again at the RBCxMusic Concert series at the RBC Canadian Open. “To be an awesome mom, and take care of Axl.” The singer is mother to her 8-year-old son Axel, whom she co-parents with her ex Josh Duhamel. She cited her desire to focus on motherhood as part of her reason for leaving the music industry. “So we had an amazing journey and rode with Fergie. Before we knew Fergie, we were a trio. And so Black Eyed Peas remains in the form that we started. But we wish Fergie the best,” he continued. “But she’s doing the best job and doing an amazing job at raising Axl as a single mom. I come from a single mom and [being a] single mom is a hard, hard job.” https://etcanada.com/news/998904/black-eyed-peas-on-possible-fergie-reunion-shes-really-happy-doing-what-shes-doing/
GoodGuyGoneGhetto Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 (edited) She’ll never top “The Dutchess” anyway so perhaps it’s for the best. It deserves to be left with a memorable legacy. Hopefully she rejoins them on their reunion tour in 2027 for their 25th anniversary. Edited June 14, 2023 by GoodGuyGoneGhetto
Space Cowboy Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 That tragic performance of the US anthem truly ended her career
CaptainMusic Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 (edited) Quote I come from a single mom and [being a] single mom is a hard, hard job. It’s not really that hard when you’re a millionaire… But as long as she’s happy Edited June 14, 2023 by CaptainMusic 5 1 1
samsclubPRESENTSavam Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 I would read her memoir if she ever chooses to make one. I bet she has some crazy behind the scenes tea. 4
JayG Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Tragic cause she actually had a unique voice, talent, taste and was lowkey the full package tbh, despite the messy moments that ****** her... ugh 6
vuelve88 Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Can you add "National Anthem Chanteuse" to the OP title? 1
Frozen99 Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 sad, i love her voice and vibe, if she came back to BEP, it'd be such a slay tho, for like one album.
Gwendolyn Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 I'm so angry she never followed Double Dutchess up quickly enough, had so much potential but good on her for focusing on her son. Someone said in a thread a few days ago about the mid 00s pop girlies (Fergie, Bedingfield,Stefani, Furtado) all had quicker demises compared to their a few late 00s counterparts and I need someone to answer why that happened
schnetzka Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 It really is a shame that the National Anthem event ended her career. I was rooting for her to have continued success.
Cameltoe Chariot Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Sad to think we'll never hear this bop again from the elusive chanteuse that is Fergie! 1

Funny enough, it happened when Britney did nothing. Rihanna debuted a year after them. Beyoncé made R&B-oriented music and went on a different path. Edited June 14, 2023 by prézli
BeenTheShit Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 They had an excellent run as a group. Let Fergie live her life.
Abracadabra Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 I hope she does join them again one day, they are so iconic as a foursome
NoOneDiesFromLove Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 You got that you got that you got that milf money 1
James_Dean Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 Damn. Fergie was one of the first pop girls I stanned for, right after Britney and Gwen... I need her to drop some singles just for fun
BlackJesus Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 this is the worst news I've ever heard I'm gonna kms now
Tillz Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 My Queen , but as long as she's is happy. The Dutchess was my first album, oh I remember the good old days when I used to jerk off thinking of her and Brandon Flowers with their music on the backround.
sk8erfan Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 (edited) Time to change my avi to a Nelly F one Let’s give it up for an iconic career of cartwheels, #1 iTunes positions, viral covers for all the wrong reasons and the iconic Double Dutchess l-word that happened right here on ATRL soil when her manager almost got @skywonderfactory (or whatever their name was) sent to jail for us! I love you mother Edited June 14, 2023 by sk8erfan
