Noodles Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 An Eras tour as in a Greatest Hits tour? Aka the easier way to sell a tour for the general public? Then the answer is anyone who can tour basically
kimberly Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 yeah doing a greatest hits tour with the setlist sectioned into albums (which means even less decisions and creativity is needed to put together the setlist) isn't revolutionary. also, I've seen Taylor live before so I would have much preferred a Lover/folklore/evermore/Midnights tour. I didn't really need her doing "Fearless" and "Bad Blood" and all that to bring the show past 3 hours. anyway, that's besides the point. the answer is Taylor and Beyoncé. and if we want to reach a little, Gaga can do like a 15-show tour out of it. Rihanna is known for being a lazy performer. I have a friend who is a huge fan (still) but was extremely disappointed when she saw her live in 2016. She was more nervous for her Super Bowl performance than excited If Rih can get her head in the game and put on a SHOW, then she could, too. she has the hits and streams but has never toured stadiums in the US (except for that one super short joint tour with Eminem). Madonna could perhaps do it since her arena tour sold out in like 10 minutes. but filling stadiums is a challenge. I'd say the same thing applies to Miley Cyrus — I definitely see the vision for the tour, but it would be an arena tour. I feel like Ariana Grande was on the right track to stadium tours but the current hiatus isn't doing her favors. Olivia Rodrigo is the one to watch out of the youngins.
BrokenMachine Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 I'd love for P!nk to do something like that, she pulled that concept during the Try This Tour, but she only had three albums out back then, and now she basically wants to forget Can't Take Me Home and Try This even exist
Repelex Posted June 15, 2023 Posted June 15, 2023 Let's be real the eras tour is basically a Midnights/folklore/evermore/Lover tour because they couldn't have tours of their own due to the pandemic. The past songs from other eras are basically either greatest hits or fan favorites like every other era from every other artist. And most importantly, she groups the setlist by album. With that said, Beyoncé. Xtina too, for as much as this forum shits on her, each of her albums have distinct styles and sound. Except for Lotus and Liberation. I'd day Madonna but it'd be too long. She could do a decades tour while pretending the 10s and 20s havent happened
