DTF Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Which other MPG do you think is capable of touring their catalog with an Eras tour? Beyoncé is proving she can do it with Renaissance selling out the same stadiums as Taylor, and Gaga also sold out MetLife Stadium for Chromatica tour. Is this the trinity of touring?
Blue Monday Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 (edited) I was gonna say Beyoncé and Gaga considering they have had visually distinct eras to pull from. Madonna as well. If Rihanna wasn't so lazy she could probably attempt it as well, though I don't think it would be done on the same level as the aforementioned women. Edited June 10, 2023 by Blue Monday

Feanor Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Beyoncé and Gaga. Their albums are distinct enough for an Eras Tour to work.
JCON Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Rihanna tbh. Her ticket sales wouldn't be THAT high but we all know people would run to see her perform after all those years. Let's not forget she's currently the #5 artists on Spotify WW without releasing a new album in 7 years 1
Bicassie Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Madonna (she basically is currently) Gaga Beyonce Rihanna Katy Perry Britney basically all mpg’s with iconic album era’s

lestat111 Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 In Madonna case that should be called Decades Tour, not Era
RobynYoBank Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 No one else has the catalog I fear! (Besides Madonna)
Solaria Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 If Madonna turned the Celebration Tour into an arena tour with multiple residencies in European cities she’d gross 700 million EASILY
Kayseri Mantisi Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Lana Del Rey can do it easily in such a beautiful way with all of the disctinct visual features of the eras
Moth 2 The Flame Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Janet is literally touring to sold out arenas and near 20k amphitheatres in the US right now, with no new music or album, just on her catalog. At this stage, she's repaired her touring reputation in North America so it wouldn't surprise if she could fill stadiums over there.

Why are decades and eras the same? Taylor tour is called Eras, because of her 'album eras'
Katamari Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 pretty sure any mpg can do it. especially the ones with best selling compilation albums are they gonna gross the same? probably not
sweetblindness Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Some of these answers are really reaching...I can't think of many, if any, others, aside from the ones the OP mentioned.
YellowRibbon Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Bey, Madonna and maybe Gaga... The rest just aren't commercially successful anymore or just not touring forces.
Achilles. Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 I mean, the Eras Tour is only really happening the way that it is because she’s put out 4 albums since her last tour. If that weren’t the case, Lover, folklore, and evermore wouldn’t have such bulky sets and it would basically just be a tour of the new album with a dozen hits from across her career thrown in. Like a normal tour. But yeah, Madonna, Gaga, Rihanna, and Beyoncé could also do full tours where each studio album has at least a 2-3 song set. Madonna and Rihanna can do it because they have multiple hits from (nearly) every album (and can pad out the rest), while Beyoncé and Gaga have the hits plus the fan favorite deep cuts to make it work. They’re the only ones who have the material and iconography to do a tour where every album gets a distinct segment, as opposed to just a standard greatest hits tour, which basically anyone can manage (Janet, Cher, Kylie, Katy, Miley, etc).
