I don't get the negative reaction this album is getting from some people, sure it's not as good as her previous records but it's not her worst one either. It has good songs and it doesn't fall that far off from the quality she delivered with previous releases.

 

Are You Gone Already, Fallin 4 U, Let Me Calm Down, Pink Birthday and Needle are all GREAT

I finished listening to the whole album. 'Big Difference' and 'Bahm Bahm' stood out to me, but the other tracks varied from being cute / just okay to blasé and sometimes offensively bad. 

 

I know sampling is extremely common in hip hop obvi, but the way this album integrates samples feels lazy and uncreative—it's almost like they're  remixes or fanmade YouTube mashups 

 

Unlike Renaissamples and similar records that cleverly reference older tracks in fresh ways, this is just uninspired. The singing also doesn't work for the most part. Sorry Barbz.
