Grocery Store Hot 100 June 1st Update

Natalie Imbruglia - Torn

Bon Jovi - Living On A Prayer

Daughtry - Feels Like Tonight (of course they play Chris' most hated bop lmao)

A-ha - Take On Me

The Killers - Somebody Told Me

Lots of rock music today. I wonder if every day they let a different employee play their Spotify playlist lmao cause last month I heard Like A Virgin and Holiday back to back.

Torn is such a CVS/Walgreens/Rite Aid classic! :jonny: I swear I hear it every time I go to one of those.

Also, you can't hit a convenience store chain without hearing this bop.

Love Song by Sara Bareilles

Brighter Than The Sun by Colbie Caillat

Soak Up The Sun by Sheryl Crow

Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield

These went #1 for a million weeks on the CVS / Walgreens charts

I remember working in a grocery store in high school and my general manager was a gay man who stanned Xtina. He played "Beautiful" like once an hour.

Made a quick stop today and heard:

Mariah Carey - We Belong Together

Kesha - Your Love is My Drug

Haven't heard that Kesha song in forever :deadvision: almost took me out for a moment.

When I was subscribed to SiriusXM back in like 2010, there was a channel called The Blend that was basically Grocery Store Airplay. They would play a newer song if it was super vanilla (like that Michael Buble song that was popular) but it was mostly 90's.

One thing about those stations is they looooove that KT Tunstall song at the beginning of Devil Wears Prada though :deadbanana4:

I work in retail but the amount of Clean Bandit songs they have on rotation is ridiculous. :deadbanana2:

Lately every time I'm at the grocery store, bank or gym I always hear Ellie Goulding - Easy Lover.

I hear that Sia song from the Annie movie at Walgreens constantly.

(This is in the US) One time they randomly played Denmark's 2016 Eurovision entry and I stopped in my tracks.

Madonna - Don't Tell Me

Mariah - We Belong Together

Fergie - Big Girls Don't Cry

Natalie - Torn

Gwen Stefani - Rich Girl

Kylie - I Believe in You (I'm honestly shook that I heard this one 3 times in 2022. It didn't actually chart on Billboard but US loves it)

+ a bunch of other tracks I don't care about

Fantasy by Mariah is up there! To think I heard that song for the first time when I worked as a bagger at a grocery store when I was 15 and hated it for that reason. Now I’m a lamb, through and through. Thanks, Kroger’s! :gayriahcat2:
