SimpleKindofLife Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Beef is an incredible watch that you can finish in one day. It’s super suspenseful 1
D_Man3379 Posted January 16 Posted January 16 (edited) This honestly felt underwhelming. Having the same winners back to back to back took the wind out of its sails. They shouldn’t have delayed this so late. Edited January 16 by D_Man3379 2

Leptine Posted January 16 Posted January 16 I mean all the winners were definitely worth but overall very safe and predictable choices, I agree it didn't help to copy paste the winners of the previous award shows.

Into The Void Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series Kieran Culkin – Succession as Roman Roy (HBO)‡ Jeff Bridges – The Old Man as Dan Chase (FX) Brian Cox – Succession as Logan Roy (HBO) Bob Odenkirk – Better Call Saul as Jimmy McGill / Saul Goodman / Gene Takavic (AMC) Pedro Pascal – The Last of Us as Joel (HBO) Jeremy Strong – Succession as Kendall Roy (HBO) Why 3 actors from the same show???? This is an issue on multiple awards. Did every single character need to be nominated. Do other dramas not exist besides 4 series? The academy is a joke 1

The academy is a joke the Emmys have always been always been like this, more than any other ceremony. especially in supporting/guest categories 'modern family' had 5/6 actors locked in supporting for 4 years in a row for example
Komet Posted January 16 Posted January 16 Better Call Saul never getting a single win despite like 50 noms is vile. 2

I remember the Desperate Housewives always being nominated in the main category (except Eva Longoria ) 1

fridayteenage Posted January 16 Posted January 16 (edited) i wonder if sag will copy/paste the sweeps. they actually are known for not doing so. since the 2010 ceremony, 0 dramas swept sag. only maisel swept the comedy sags once. and oddly enough, shalhoub never got a globe nom for the show. McNulty Posted January 16 Posted January 16 The Succession sweep was so deserved idk, Sarah finally winning her well earned Emmy and Kieran gave the best performance during the final season. FX made the best and worst decisions possible for their shows, the best by airing the second season for the Bear during the voting period The worst by splitting the final season of Better Call Saul in two parts, they had a better shot to win last year. I'm glad Ted Lasso went home with 0 Emmys Jennifer Coolidge didn't deserve her win, Elizabeth and Rhea were robbed Beef have been on my watchlist for ages now, maybe it's time to finally watch it

I would love to see her still win but I doubt they will campaign for her next year she won for season 6, which is what she'll competing with next time at the emmys. the awards have always liked the even numbered seasons of the crown better. Also, the next Emmys will have one of the weakest drama fields ever with so many shows delayed from the strikes so it'll be way easier to win with a weak show.

Yeah I can't think of any good drama show that can be nominated
