pls specify that it's for remote play and is more so like the Wii U, it's nothing like the Switch, unfortunately.

 

personal opinion: this is a dumb idea and if they genuinely wanted to create a portable, they should have gone all out and not wasted resources on something that requires wifi and is (for the most part) completely useless outside the house

You need a $400-500 PS5, it'll be another bomb like PSVR2. I'm sure if you own a PS5, you'd own a phone for remote play.  A $300 handheld device without any wireless/cloud tethering makes more sense. (I'd rather them not though, please just focus on the first party exclusives for PS5 and leave the handhelds to Ninty because they actually know what they're doing )

This. If it has to be connected to your PS5 via Wifi, then there's no point. The Switch is good because you can literally play it anywhere with no drop in performance (albeit its performance is mediocre compared to the PS5, but playing BOTW or TOTK on the go is incredible).

 

The Wii U was a bomb for a reason so I don't see this doing any better.
