Why are over half the songs on Midnights in C major though :rip: that's why it sounds so monotonous sometimes

Right especially on the standard edition there's a 3 or 4 song run where they're all in C major or A minor :rip:

Interesting that it's not an expose. It basically tells us they were miserable but trying to keep it alive anyway

It's giving Dear Reader continuation, flows very nice after it and as the album closer :WAP:

This needs to be on Spotify soon or I will unstan

'I know my pain is such an imposition' is one of her best lines. :jonny:

That’s one of those writer flexes that others will be mad they didn’t come up with :chick3:

She's related to Clean, I can't explain she just is :jonny2:

I can see that. I personally also think it’s the antithesis of Cornelia Street actually. Also to Labyrinth.

This basically just confirms what I always knew which was the pendulum is going to swing. She’s going to write some of the most emotionally heart wrenching lyrics of her career on TS11 I just know it.

This song proves that Joe was a good partner but he was just too boring of a person to keep the relationship alive. No wonder she's with Matty now. A queen needs some thrill in her life from time to time.

So midnights is really coded and was hinting at the problems in their relationship… why do I feel like their work in folkmore was also a warning sign? I think they projected a lot of their relationship onto them…

This also could mean that Godyrinth was written about her falling in love with someone new… so the song could be about Ratty :biblio: way to ruin a god level song :biblionny:

Seriously. She was able to write some of the most incredibly emotional songs ever about guys she dated for a few months, image what she's gonna say about her partner of six years. :rip: I'm scared.

I was trying to find a line where she lashed him but she really didn’t. I think after years together they really just grew apart. My theory is that she just doesn’t want to get married and Joe just stopped trying. Tolerate it so coming to mind. TS11 will definitely explore it more but I really don’t think Joe did something bad to her. They were just two adults who grew apart

I made an alt cover for a version of the album with all 22 original songs, and none of the remixes/acoustic tracks, if anybody is looking for one. I replaced SOTB with the More Lana version as track 4.

Agreed.

Midnight Rain and Bejeweled were warning signs.

why the **** is Taylor trying to outsing Lana on her own verse? jesus Taylor :deadbanana2:

I ******* love Snow on the Beach original and this will take some time to get used to but Lana sounds beautiful

i miss the OG ending tbh

thoughts? @State of Grace.

I love the new version more but yeah I miss the "its coming down" outro. Will wait for some fan to add it on YT

I don’t think Joe was a villain tbh. It’s gotta be exhausting being her partner in the public eye - especially when you’re not used to that level of fame. Not to mention Taylor puts her fans and family first.

Do we have any sense of how many copies they’re selling at MetLife?

You can really tell a lot of swifties are either young, dumb, or socially stunted. It’s clear SHE doesn’t want to be a wife (Lavender Haze), so how is it his fault for giving her no ring? :deadvision:

It’s easy to see, with the information we have, that they just grew apart. People are dragging him because he didn’t fight but for all we know he could’ve been fighting for 5 years and it just didn’t work out; people get tired. It takes two to maintain a healthy relationship. I’m not a big fan of the line where Taylor is “sending signs” but maybe TS11 will shine a better light on the situation

We only know that they are limited to 4 copies per customer. CDs are very easy to print so I don't think they'll have stock problems.
