Achilles. Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 (edited) That’s what happens when you’re the worst category fraud winner in the 95 year history of the Academy (children excluded). Well actually, Mahershala Ali (Green Book) and Chistoph Waltz (Django Unchained) are even worse. But still. Edited May 24, 2023 by Achilles.

The Prophecy Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 She's a pretty talented actor; I'm not sure why her previous films received negative reviews or bombed, but none of that reduces her talent as an actress.

OnlyManInTheWorld Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 She was tragic in Tomb Raider, but hey, she'll always have Ex Machina.
mystery Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 She is a very talented actress but yeah poor career choices. Her Oscar win was also for the wrong movie that year, her performance in Ex Machina was amazing.

Saintlor Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 Her only good performance and movie is Ex Machina and the only reason why her performance was good is because she is playing a wooden-acting robot

vale9001 Posted May 24, 2023 Posted May 24, 2023 (edited) Since Weinstein is over look like we get from Oscars to most young attractive white womean to more diversity winners and also oldest women (and this is just my opinion in general way more talented actress). Paltrow, Lawrence, Vikander, Theron, Weisz, Stone, Portman, Cotillard, Berry, Swank from 2018 Double win for McDormand, Colman, Michelle Yeoh, Zellweger, Janney, Regina King, Laura Dern, Yuh- jung, Curtis, De bose. Oscars never saw such a long string of mature- diverse- not "l'oreal spot type of face" winners. Edited May 24, 2023 by vale9001

Yeah, I noticed this too, the 00s and part of the 10s, the winners used to be these young white starlets actress and now the winners are veterans and ladys with the resumé and talent.
