The first Latin explosion I remember Latin artist being everywhere on radio and the charts. I don’t see it as popular the last couple years beside some one offs. 

I feel like a lot of these songs are only popular in the Latin community and the Latin community in the US has gotten bigger hence the resurgence. But when I was younger, during the first wave, the Latin artist were EVERYWHERE from Shakira, Don Omar, Aventura, Daddy Yankee, etc
