Yes I wish the existing app just updated, but I’ve downloaded Max and once I opened and accept the terms, I didn’t even need to log in. It automatically transferred all my watch history and everything into Max. Currently continuing my shows on Max now. It looks exactly like HBO max except Blue. 
 

I haven’t deleted hbo max app yet but I will. I want to check my apple account first to see if my monthly bill is now under Max. 
 

also PS, Shazam 2 is a fun movie, stop hating.

HBO Max was still available last night and this morning, but now it's gone for me. The name-change is a choice... and the colour scheme change is unnecessary. The purple/black was such a unique theme, and now we've gone some generic, over-satured indigo-blue type hue. But the library is still good, so that's what counts. However, the platform is wonkier than HBO Max.

I cannot believe they just didn't push an update to the existing HBO Max app and rename it, rather than forcing people to download an entire new platform  

 

I also find it incredibly stupid they are choosing blue, I already have an issue with Paramount+ and Prime Video being blue and being two of my most used streaming services, and now I have a third app that'll blend right in with them?

I actually understood wanting to remove HBO from the title as it does hinder families from subscribing as they’ll feel it’s just adult content. But the name Max is really getting clowned all over social media. I don’t get why they didn’t just take the L and rename it to WB+ or something.

Thought I would keep the old app but it forces you to download the new app.  Luckily the transition was seamless with everything transferring over.

Warner Bros. has always been dumb, they've just been making it more apparent for the past seven years. Dropping "HBO" from the name doesn't make any sense at all. I hate how many of my favorite properties and franchises are under them.
