They act like she’s been a global force since day 1 when her first global album was 1989 and she didn’t start “smashing” in Europe until very recently :rip: (watch how they are gonna reply with something about the 3 years old market China and how she’s the biggest artist of all time there as a deflection)

She tried to "karaoke" country image (after Shania global impact of course) with music. 20 years after 18 streams daily like all her discography.

Tbh, she never was the non-factor ATRL made her out to be. She has 6 Top10 Hits and like 15 Top20 Hits in the US. Almost all her singles debut in the Hot100 and she is the most sucessful Latin Artist in the US.

 

Of course she is no Beyoncé in the US, but she isn't as irrelevant as some users say either. Almost anyone in the US knows who Shakira is.

She’s been extremely global since 1989 which is over half her career (longer tbh as even Fearless was massive in Asia/Oceania).
