Why doesn’t this thread have more traction? I haven’t listened yet, but I’m watching his City Sessions live stream on Amazon Music right now and he sounds so GOOD  I can’t believe I haven’t gotten a chance to see him live myself. He performed 2-3 songs from the new album (so far) and they sound so good

I listened to the whole album and was blown away!

I had never listened to more than a couple of songs by him!

Lovely album, grand choruses and beautiful melodies. Sometimes I feel a little Paul Simon influence here and there. Surprised he chose EYY as the lead, it‘s possibly the weakest link here.

It's a little bloated tbh but his albums always are (long). I love love love half of it... Some songs sound like early-mid 2000s rock tho dd

Wouldn‘t call it the weakest link, but I‘d chosen at least 3-4 different songs over it as a single.

Listened last night and this is definitely one of the better albums to come out this year. It should surely get an AOTY nomination because WOW. I didn’t expect him to delve into the sounds that he did.
