Ditto for Lil Nas X's trolling. They're just having harmless fun and if anything, the over-the-top outraged reactions only motivate them to do even more antics.

 

The only ones at fault are the pop culture news outlets and forums for treating anything they say on Twitter seriously. 

 

There is a place for this chaotic and unreliable type of social media presence from pop stars, especially when it's something that Montero and Doja have historically been known for. Doesn't mean I wouldn't prefer for them to be more straightforward sometimes, especially on the matter of upcoming music, but it's their messy approach, and I respect it. Doja already shared screenshots from a future music video on her Instagram, so it's not like this turmoil won't lead to something.
