honestly wouldn't even put it past the EBU organisers this year that that "supposed thread" that was posted on social media today (the ebu supposedly telling ireland they can just broadcast the prevoius performances in  case she tries to pull something) was real. i mean we can't tell but nothing's off the table today i guess.

Please, let's not. You are making a lot of assumptions in here. Eden is (at the moment, at least) no more guilty of the crimes her country/ies is/are committing than an average American is of the crimes the US committed all over the world since the end of WWII.

 

Also, I don't recall any of the UK artists withdrawing between 2003-2009 either.

i've seen someone say on popjustice that their friends who were at a rehearsal this week got escorted by police after booing israel / shouting free palestine. i can't remember when it exactly happened and whether or not it was actually confirmed or reported/posted on social media by the actualy people that were involved but these things wouldn't surprise me at this stage. they clearly don't want ANYTHING to cause distractions in the crowd shots of their anti-booing broadcast today.

it's also clear when the broadcasts had a much heavier cheering-track for israel's broadcasted performance this week than in the two jury show-streams.

I don't think this will be the end, unless Israel win, but in order to save the contest dozens of resignations will have to happen ASAP. Otherwise, if Martin stays in charge, there will be no Ireland, the Netherlands and who knows who else next year.
