Shazam didn't deserve to flop so hard, it was good and the visuals were amazing for the budget. but also it's what the DCU lowkey deserves for being a mess

 

and if they really cast Robbie as Sue Storm, they better have huge names cast in the other roles cuz lord knows she can't win at the box office... tragic

While the first movie was fun, I really didn't think it was anything special. Combine that with recent superhero movie fatigue, I can't say I'm too surprised this didn't do well.

That being said, The Suicide Squad is a legitimately great movie. It sucks it underperformed. 

 

Birds of Prey, while not as great, was still loads of fun. Also bummed it didn't do too well.

I knew it was a flop, but damn.

Ant-man is considering as one of Marvels biggest underperforming movies ever and it still made 4x more than Shazam and they had the same budget.
