WiredBrain Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 Top 3 in no order Story Hold on to now Tension I was expecting something amazing with Vegas High after reading this thread but it's...alright. Overall, it's a good album but I was expecting more club-bangers after the singles.

I mean... Like a Drug, The One, Sensitized, In My Arms... who else? This statement x1000. I'm a casual 2001-onward Kylie fan (though also jam to Confide in Me & some Impossible Princess material), and to be honest I could not get into her albums, no matter how much I try. Maybe it's exactly because her songs are so drastically different. I remember going into Fever and Body Language expecting the sound of the preceding singles, and was met with... what was to me really random sounds (dare one says her albums are not... cohesive?) That said, X is her only album that I really enjoyed listening from start to end (last listen was 2 weeks ago and still so fun). So underrated. I don't get the hate for 2 Hearts. Also unpopular opinion: Aphrodite is so dated. Tried listening to the whole album (again) last week and still gave up 2/3 way in...
Junlin Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 RETROPOP 4/5 Quote ‘Tension’ is a great pop record and a testament to Kylie’s continued relevance and indisputable legacy as one of greatest pop stars of all time.. https://retropopmagazine.com/kylie-minogue-tension-album-review/

voiceofTreason Posted September 19, 2023 Posted September 19, 2023 X is great but it really deserved an extended edition (I've made to myself) like this: 1. Rippin up the disco 2. Carried away 3. Cherry bomb 4. Magnetic electric 5. King or queen 6. Boombox 7. Fall for you 8. Do it again Slap Lose control also in it if you like it 1
