Wait I just picked up on the Enjoy Yourself similarities.

 

I really liked 10 Out of 10 when it came out, but Spotify shoves it down my throat after virtually any Kylie song I play, so I've started to grow sick of it. It has payolad it's way into my top ten most streamed Kylie songs ever.

i hope she won’t wait until like a week before the album release unless there is some promo coming up or also she could release it 8th of September for VMAs and perform it at the VMAs

Read on Twitter that the album has apparently generated 50,000 pre-orders in the US, according to people tracking orders on her website. Seems very unlikely to me considering Disco did only 15,000 in pure sales but then again all of our expectations this era have been defied so I don't even know what to think anymore.

 

I would be happy with a 30,000+ debut and a top 20 placement, so even if it this turns out to be fake I won't be disappointed.

I also have my doubts, but then again it might be possible as Padam Padam is much bigger than anything on Disco was, plus there’s also Vegas going for her. On top of her website sales, what makes things even more interesting is that all album variants are available in the US this time around (if I recall correctly, Disco was only available on the standard CD and vinyl formats, plus on a limited run of Barnes & Noble exclusive vinyl).

If you didn't want to go in chronological order, personally I'd recommend listening to Fever, Body Language, and Impossible Princess first, in that order. If you want more of the Impossible Princess sound, check out Kylie Minogue (1994) after.

 

Then check out Light Years, Disco, Rhythm of Love, Aphrodite, and X (not in order but that's probably the order I like them the most). I like Kylie (1988) too, but that and most of the other albums I'd only check out if you feel like you're a straight up stan.

It's messy, we knew very early on that Golden and DISCO had Japanese bonus but nothing about Tension, not even a preorder (there's only for standard and deluxe).

Yup, I think we're actually in for a surprise with the BB200 debut this time around, can't see it doing less than Aphrodite.

Her greatest hits compilation Step Back in Time is a pretty good place to start and should give you a solid overview of her career.

 

When it comes to actual studio LPs, Fever is the Kylie album. Definitely check that one out. Other essential Kylie listens: Light Years (camp disco and Europop), X (electropop), Aphrodite ("emotopop") and Disco (disco ddd).

 

Impossible Princess and Body Language are two of her best projects, but are pretty different from her signature sound. The former is late-90s indie/electronica mixed with some Britpop, while the latter is inspired by R&B and 80s dance-pop. Listen to them at some point, but know that they're the exception, not the rule.
