The last update I saw still insisted that HOTN is the 2nd single.

but I just saw a rumor that it might be Vegas High as a promo single as the venue she’s allegedly doing the residency in started following her.

i think BMG and Kylie are more likely to stick with same plan since HOTN video is probably shot already. hopefully it's a bop.

HOTN is more like All the Lovers/Say Something vibe ... i wouldnt call it a Bop , but its a great euphoric song

Tension on the other hand is a bop and a half

yes ive seen people say this. all the lovers is still up tempo great single choice to me and cohesive with her other dance songs. Say Something is also a great song but didn't resonate with people as much.

For me HOTN >>>> Tension, but I understand the second is a better single option

I like both but i would use Tension as promo summer single to launch the album and HOTN as an after album single in late October to promote the tour announcement in Europe

Word on the street is Tension is officially the next single. Was originally scheduled to release on 2/8 but they've pushed it back to 30/8 due to Padam Padam's success.

Which realistically makes sense because Padam is being sent to US radio on the 1st

It's already been serviced to US radio! Impact date is 1st. But yes - it's still growing there, so would be remiss of them not to let it have its moment outside of the UK.

I mean, at this point September is not event that far. We almost made it to the album.

Regarding Tension being the next single, it makes sense and I'm glad about the choice. Hold On To Now is really beautiful and very Kylie™ but, if her team wants to try the GP route after such a long time, Tension is the most suitable track to follow Padam Padam's success.

Need someone at BMG to get the vision and give us Tension (A.G. Cook Remix) [feat. Channel Tres].

I'll give my two cents: releasing HOTN next would be the best option. It might not do anything chart wise but it'll be a great "filler single" before the album to ease the wait. Padam is still gaining in Europe and US so releasing Tension would be counter-productive for both of their success.

Release Tension with a sick video with the album and maximize the buzz since it is the title track and serves with the same hashtag AND single released with the album always get extra play and attention in the radio and socials :spin:

To be fair, yes, a filler single for UK and Aus is needed as Padam is falling but starting in other markets. Then Tension can follow up as the second “WW” single.

Have 0 expectations of any other song doing any great but Tension has the best chances.

Right. Her getting ONE hit per era is amazing and releasing "Tension the single" with "Tension the album" should give it the best chance possible. They can even use the song and the mv as part of the album promotion campaing cross platforms which would be weird/less impactful if the video/song had been out for a month or two...

Completely agree. I think releasing Tension now would be counterproductive and could hurt its chances. They should release HOTN first in between just to tide the fans over and maintain some momentum where Padam has already peaked.

I’m trying my best not to overplay the MQ version of Tension that leaked :jonny5: Excellent single choice

Not it being pushed back 3 weeks :deadbanana4:

My opinion, if Tension don't become a single, it would be very bad strategy, Tension is that kind of song we need right after many years with lockdown.

Lady GaGa did the same, she chose Mary The Night/Judas over Scheiße, GP would have eat it up because it was an era for EDM and Eurodance music. And the era is back now
