Wait why are people saying this sounds dated and has a lot of filler?

is it just because it’s not having “longevity” in the charts?

It’s already most played Kylie album :rip:

Well in lastfm, and I started scrobbling in 2014.

I found it to be just feel good pop, nothing ground breaking but far from dated.

Imo it’s easy listening Kylie but there’s not much to pull you in like Disco.

It’s very by the book for Kylie imo whereas the demos that leaked sound more unique.

I do agree with that. I listen to the demos more than the album tracks, and I am still upset heavenly body isn't on spotify.

I do love all the ig videos from the ppl who attended night one

I did expect more songs from tension though

It also occured to me that she's never really doing songs from impossible princess in tours as one example, it's kind of the same songs over and over

I’m surprised she is doing three “Light Years” tracks as I don’t believe that album was even released in the U.S. (only Canada), as it was deemed too camp for the U.S. market. Her albums that did not receive any U.S. release are as follows:

03. Rhythm of Love (1990)

04. Let’s Get to It (1991)

05. KM94 (1994)

06. Impossible Princess (1997)

07. Light Years (2000)

Even though much of that material pre-dates when broadband took off and the net became mainstream, I guess Americans have filled in the blanks enough over the years through the use of streaming services and YouTube to at least attain some awareness of those eras. I can’t imagine how dull life must have been for them without the “Rhythm of Love” album (in particular).

Same goes for concerts and tours without songs from these eras -

Impossible Princess is FULL of bangers (I listened to all the X predecessors 2 weeks ago) - why isn't she opening a concert with ENJOY YOURSELF?

I'd love hearing AUTOMATIC LOVE and SURRENDER live and so on.

I'm surprised at labeling these albums as too camp, she's got the best discography by far than many American artists(my opinion).

I’m an American and we’ve always had those albums. It’s not like they were never released here and are some big mystery to us. I had Light Years on CD when it released here in 2000.

yet labels were not too keen to help her break into the market, even if she had/has everything she needed(there's always room for more radio play)

Discogs suggests otherwise, but okay.

It was distributed by EMI through Canada to the US. So. Thanks for trying.

That’s between you and https://www.discogs.com music lovers all over the world trust it as their Bible (not just me).  You’re right. Global distribution doesn’t exist. I’ll just take my memories, copy of Light Years on CD and Wikipedia entry and see myself out

I don’t know what I expected but this seems very underwhelming.

Supernova the only song from Disco?

I know it’s a Vegas residency but I feel like there were more interesting choices available. She does seem to play the same singles over and over.

Light Years and Supernova was an interesting opener though.

Vegas asks for a greatest hits show

she gave it…stop crying

FYI I never said half that stuff from “You’re right” down and what I did edit was alter the generic Discogs link to the one specifically on Kylie. Just saying as I don’t appreciate someone else’s words being in a quote bubble attributable to me.

Hopefully “Vegas High (Extended Mix)” can rescue that cruel fade-out on the most goosebump inducing part of the song.

Which was never my point.

it may be that the albums were never officially released but ppl have a way to get stuff they want. I was thinking that ebay was online since 1995, there are plenty of kylie albums there for sale so ppl always found a way. If not ebay any other platform.

It’s one of the tracks I look forward to the most, ironically because Vegas High is my least favorite track on Tension… I only like the ending which is cut way too short, so hopefully the extended version will play around with that part and finally make me stan the song a bit :heart2:

In this setlist I would only remove and replace 2 songs: 'Your Disco Needs You' and 'The One'... I'd replace with 'I Believe in You' and 'I Should Be So Lucky'

Does anyone fancy have like photoshop or something to give Kylie a natural flesh tone?
