AdrianNicki Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 I don't think I agree with this album having no replay value. I've been listening to this album non-stop in full since it came out. It's my album of the year. I'm excited for Extension but I try not to have high expectations because the extended versions for Padam and Tension weren't that good. I feel like Tension had potential. If they moved that instrumental part to the end and added third chorus after that it would have been perfect to be honest. But there are few songs that I think can only gain from extended mixes. Mainly Hands and Vegas High. It sucks they choose to ignore deluxe tracks because Just Imagine extended mix would be great. 2
Frozen99 Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 give the current state of the album on the charts (nonexistent) i seriously doubt they'll investing that much into the album as was the case with disco. 9 hours ago, AdrianNicki said: I don't think I agree with this album having no replay value. differentkindahigh Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Somebody to love is infectious & I want an exTended version 1
BraveNewSeth Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 This album is great, who is saying it has no replay value? I’ve been listening to it non-stop since it came out. I love how varied it is compared to Golden and Disco. 2 1
AdrianNicki Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 This is easily the best extended mix so far. It still feels a little empty in some places but it's a massive improvement over the last two. 1
Frozen99 Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 yeah they learned from the two butchered ones, the elevation the extended mix did for the song.. 1
TaylorNation Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 it’s a shame because the shoot is amazing and the single covers are cute, but the Tension cover is absolute TRASH. not even a romanian pop girl would put out artwork like that 1
Asparagus Spears Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 I wonder if hold on to now will make any noise and be a cute lil hit for her

I love DISCO so much and it aged like fine wine for me but Tension is a bit faceless and most songs don’t give you reason to play them more than a couple times imo if that makes sense. I think I agree. I kept replaying Disco and when the extended version came out I kept listening to it. I still listen to it sometimes and I haven't listened to Tension since it came out! I do like Tension and Vegas High though.

It just screams TENSION to me idk. Probably my favorite BMG cover of hers. 2

Dante Silva Posted November 3, 2023 Posted November 3, 2023 I suspect we might finally get to see the cover art without any recolouring or touch ups when the anticipated final edition of the album gets released next year. 2

It’s already most played Kylie album Well in lastfm, and I started scrobbling in 2014. I found it to be just feel good pop, nothing ground breaking but far from dated. Imo it’s easy listening Kylie but there’s not much to pull you in like Disco. It’s very by the book for Kylie imo whereas the demos that leaked sound more unique. 1

I listen to the demos more than the album tracks, and I am still upset heavenly body isn't on spotify. 1

Her albums that did not receive any U.S. release are as follows: 03. Rhythm of Love (1990) 04. Let’s Get to It (1991) 05. KM94 (1994) 06. Impossible Princess (1997) 07. Light Years (2000) Even though much of that material pre-dates when broadband took off and the net became mainstream, I guess Americans have filled in the blanks enough over the years through the use of streaming services and YouTube to at least attain some awareness of those eras. I can’t imagine how dull life must have been for them without the “Rhythm of Love” album (in particular).

Same goes for concerts and tours without songs from these eras - Impossible Princess is FULL of bangers (I listened to all the X predecessors 2 weeks ago) - why isn't she opening a concert with ENJOY YOURSELF? I'd love hearing AUTOMATIC LOVE and SURRENDER live and so on. I'm surprised at labeling these albums as too camp, she's got the best discography by far than many American artists(my opinion). 2

It’s not like they were never released here and are some big mystery to us. I had Light Years on CD when it released here in 2000.
