yeah Dina already said she's gonna be on the soundtrack :skull: at least we're getting new Pink Slip which is what matters anyway

her brother was also on set with her this past week while they were filming on the beach so they'll prob have small roles/be extras too. let their unemployed asses get a Disney check too ig :toofunny3:

Jamie said the movie only has a few more days left filming: https://www.instagram.com/p/C-wFCH4ycUF/

I'm excited to see Lindsay in theater for the first time eve rafter being a fan for 2 decades

But I feel like there is no hype for this? And release date is weird, in the middle of summer...

I think there's some hype, the reaction they got to their surprise D23 appearance alone shows the main demo (Disney fans) still care for it/them at least. not expecting big #s tho but I think it can do well as long as the budget isn't high and if they promote properly and cleverly towards the GP (ideally there'd be some selling points for gen z that we still don't know about too like maybe in the soundtrack and/or movie cameos but not holding my breath for anyone super popular either)

I'm happy it's theatrical release and not Disney+ like HP2 or that Enchanted mess, so there's hope if studio thought it was worthy.

I'm scared because Lindsay wasted her hype on those 3 Netflix movies =, she really needs to deliver numbers if not acclaim.

I'm just happy we're actually getting it and hope it's entertaining! she already proved everyone wrong and even managed to get back with Disney, the rest isn't really up to her now (if it flops we can blame the JLC hate train :coffee2:) and honestly, while I believe they were a pretty great way for her to get back into acting, I don't want her stuck doing romcoms/family movies for too long now though so I don't necessarily care if it's acclaimed/successful we need her to reinvent/look for other interesting stuff that will get hype by itself because it's good/exciting.. she's a working actress again now :cool2:

I love that Jamie Lee makes **** happen. She doesn't sit around waiting for a phone call, she calls them up until they say yes. :rip: It was the same with Halloween H20.

Same. I want her to move on to serious project but I don't see it happening.

I think she'll continue doing this because she's enjoying the comfort of it.

she better not, she keeps saying she wants to take on other roles and has even been trying to make the Ann-Margret biopic happen

this was just a few months ago: https://www.purewow.com/news/lindsay-lohan-interview-our-little-secret

Lohan also confirmed that while she's best known for her cozy rom-coms, she's open to exploring different genres. She said, "I definitely want to branch out to other genres, just to stretch my abilities. And, you know, I'd be doing myself a disservice if I didn't try other roles and other characters and look different in films, [or] ensemble cast roles and working with the directors that I dream to work with. That, I really want to do and start focusing on."

...

I think it's a matter of what she's offered (and she seems to have a shitty agent she should go to a better talent agency like Pamela Anderson did tbh they had no faith in her I wouldn't be surprised if the same happens with Lindsay and this is the stuff she gets pushed to do)
