I didn't know this was co-written by Jake Shears (Scissor Sisters). Best (GAY) song ever!

Serving 100% pure taste.

I have to say Madonnas 2000’s output was phenomenal but she dropped hard with MDNA. Since then I’ve always enjoyed a few songs from each of her 2010’s albums but that’s it. Medellin is my jam but idgaf about the album, although the Madame X imagery was amazing.

Legend Kylie however has really not made any missteps. Even X, which I wasn’t crazy for at the time, I look back on now and realize it’s a great album. She has served consistently great eras since. The Garibay stuff was amazing too.

Both of them are legends.

Too Much was also supposed to be Aphrodite's lead single before recording sessions were extended (and All The Lovers arrived), it was then scheduled as a follow-up to to Get Outta My Way but plans changed and Better Than Today stole its place as the third single from the album. To be honest, it truly is one of her best songs ever and should have been a proper single during her Aphrodite-era imo.

Overall, I believe Kylie is the perfect pop star and I want to hightlight the word "pop".

Unlike other artists out there who feel like they costantly need to reinvent themself to be """different""", her approach is quite similar to what (many) J-Pop artists follow: she has her (pop-dance) reign and she's not afraid to play within that reign (especially since Light Years).

Kylie knows how to make perfect pop music, she likes it and genuinely knows what her audience wants. I strongly support her because of this.

After she broke up with Guy her output has suffered massively and the care she used to put into each album was lost. She has some good tracks but overall her albums are just demos on demos on demos and she just lets producers do whatever and is on for the ride.

Kylie is definitely very careful with her albums and selections and vocally delivers every word with precision. KMO was a misstep but with so many people against any vision you have, I can understand why she just went through the motions.

She rebounded gloriously with BMG.

Her "we love her again" moment in Australia and Ireland

  • A version with a bridge and final chorus for the gays to spend their coins on
  • DJ remixes for the clubs and European radio
  • A "night" video that actually does justice to the song
  • Spotify payola
  • Blackmail the head of Radio 1 so they will play her

Let's get to it, BMG

Drops to number 24 in the new mids, still a new peak but despite much stronger streams (& surprisingly downloads too), the competition is really racking up at the moment.

It's probably not going to happen, but I really want Padam Padam to become a top ten hit. We can't let Higher be Kylie's last top ten hit ever!

I just love this thread. I come here and read nothing but facts and constant big updates.

I reckon next week will be the best chance for top 10, especially if they ship the CDs and she releases some remixes to boost sales a bit.

Tomorrow’s Spotify update might be a good jump considering she’s been stable during the weekend and a bank holiday :duca:

KTU is playing Padam Padam. Now we need them to send it to the US radios and see what happens.

I 100% agree with this :clap3: Kylie knows her strengths and leans into them, her voice just sounds so good over electronic/pop productions and I'm so glad she's keeping us fed with gay bops. She doesn't experiment a lot, but not every artist needs to. No need to fix something that isn't broken, I will always have time for more pop Kylie.

Her team should upload extended version to Spotify to boost her streaming numbers

However *unpopular opinion time* I think the song works better as a short n sweet bop

The extended edit is terrible, they should keep it for a store exclusive.
