discreetinside Posted August 6 Posted August 6 Is RBR officially enter their another flop era? Like losing few high profile key peoples within a season was not a good look regardless. Max will be fine anyways at least for now because well he's Max but can't guarantee if he'll stay with the team until his contract expire in 2028.

No offense to other shippers here, but despite all the slanders about MaxCharles ships being forced or whatever it's has been one of the most popular F1 ships for the past couple of years. Quote If anyone wants to know the stats of this year 2024 (jan 1st up til today) are: Leclerc/Verstappen (Leatappen/MaxCharles 1,727) Norris/Piastri (Landoscar 1,057) Ricciardo/Verstappen (Maxiel 629) Norris/Sainz (Carlando 585) Leclerc/Sainz (C2/Charlos 520) Peréz/Verstappen (Chestappen 404) Hamilton/Rosberg (Brocedes 400) Piastri/Sargeant (Loscar 351) Gasly/Leclerc (CharlesPierre 348) Russell/Albon (Galex 337) [Edit: wording + note that this includes fics that are locked which the original source does not] Edited August 6 by discreetinside
discreetinside Posted August 23 Posted August 23 Predict all the remaining opened seat: My prediction: Mercedes: Kimi Antonelli Spoiler It's basically confirmed all thanks to Toto can't keep a secret and he will join FP1 session on Monza. VCARB: Danny renewed or Liam Lawson, hoping for later Sauber/Audi: No idea who could be, could be any of Valtteri/Zhou/Mick/Gabriel Bortobelo or even Rob Shwartzman who joined FP1 this weekend Spoiler
Genius1111 Posted August 24 Posted August 24 Twink Norris, who is fluent in Flemish/Dutch, is on pole in the Netherlands He is the first foreign driver in the 2020s to claim a pole.
abelfenty Posted August 24 Posted August 24 (edited) I've watched F1 since I've been about 3 and my interest in the sport is currently at an all-time low Completely forgot this was back this weekend Edited August 24 by abelfenty 1

Also the first foreign driver in the 2020s to win in the Netherlands. Lando Two-wins did it in style as well, with a gap greater than 20 seconds. Twink did that! Dutch fans are supportive and mature and not salty, we are happy to see this!

This year has been not bad so far.
Konril Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Lando cannot do a great start from pole, granted Oscar did bad too but Lando is just consistently bad at it. That was such a short sprint before Turn 1 and he bangled it so much and got overtaken. Like: Thank god that McLaren is a rocketship because if he isn't bottling his race start, he cracks it on Q3 at quali. Max fighting that car, he is such a talent. Charles wrangling that Ferrari to a podium and fending of Oscar, as well as Carlos pulling a P5. What a boring start after summer break from an exciting first half. Last year's Dutch GP was infinitely better with the rain, even with an anticlimactic Max win.
discreetinside Posted August 25 Posted August 25 Lando won his career 2nd race with almost 23 seconds lead to Max, how quick the table turned this season. Also pretty surprised Ferrari are doing great on Sunday after a shaky start on FPs and qualifying with Charles making podium and Carlos on P5. I need them to keep their good pace for the rest of season especially Monza where I personally need another Monza 2019 celebration.
Jotham Posted August 25 Author Posted August 25 This race was boring. I'm worried for the rest of the season if it continues like this, but I have a feeling one of either Ferrari, Mercedes, or Red Bull will catch up to McLaren. At least with last season it was still fascinating to see Red Bull's dominance because everything was flawless, not just the car but also Max's skill and Red Bull's strategy. Also, there were fun battles to see at the back of the grid but now it's just Williams and Stake constantly flopping.

I feel like this season is where the major teams are capable to caught up with each other. At the start of the season Red Bull are still riding on their dominance from last season but with McLaren brought successful upgrade in Miami Red Bull was no longer the fastest car on the grid. Not to mentioned the FIA banning asymmetric braking system mid season didn't help Red Bull either.
Genius1111 Posted August 25 Posted August 25 I know Mr "Poor Choices" Alonso is fuming that when he was in McLaren the 2nd time around, the car was 20s behind everyone instead of being 20s ahead.
Genius1111 Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Stealing Max's catchphrases and stealing George's trademark shirtless pictures, yes, this twink is the newest villain in the block.
discreetinside Posted August 27 Posted August 27 (edited) F1 EMERGENCY Logie Bear were dropped from F1 and Williams. That crash on FP3 must have been the last straw for Williams after working hard on bringing major upgrades for Zandvoort. Edited August 27 by discreetinside
Konril Posted August 30 Posted August 30 I really gravitate towards Kimi Antonelli but Kravitz glazing him in the garage was just too much. Then Kimi bins his car in FP1. This poor kid under immense pressure. But he is just 18, he will learn from experience.
