Physical music items are basically merch now, there’s no reason to buy music other than it being a collectible item.

 

The bad thing is now we’ll have artists like BTS at the top for a while.

Don’t understand the dramatics in here. “Bundles” were always about digital downloads being given out for free with merch. 

 

I fail to see the issue with someone paying extra for a physical copy along with merch. Anyone who doesn’t actually want to buy the album will buy the other option. 

 

This seems like a good compromise in terms of encouraging some pure sales.
