Isn’t this Last Nights 4th week at #1? Why does the thread title say 3??

Correct. @Ger-55 pointed this out too.

That depends on how you define biggest "crossover." Need You Now peaked higher than LN at T40, HAC, AC & Dance Mixplay stations, #1-#3 but didn't begin to really gain mainstream radio until after NYN had peaked at Country. This was true for Breathe & Amazed too. LN already climbing at mainstream radio while still rising at Country is much less common.

The last song to climb Country & mainstream at the same time is probably 1983s Islands In The Stream. It was #1 on the Hot 100 & Country chart (then airplay only) the same 2 weeks. IITS also simultaneously climbed AC. Even You're Still The One had a slight delay before it crossed over. Body Like A Back Road had a slight delay too.

That being said, even with top tier sales & streaming metrics I don't know how much further LN can grow at mainstream radio. The fact its this big without any remixes for airplay, downloads or streams is quite remarkable. And its possible Wallen moves on to a new single soon to boost the album instead of continued LN promotion.

Is there a reason why it won’t continue growing at radio?

Other Country crossovers needed a remix to reach the next level per se. The fact LN still sounds so out of place at T40 (not so much HAC/AC) will eventually become a problem for it. Its already begun to rise slower than this time last week at #13 tonight. Many major market T40 stations simply refuse to play Country songs even with a remix. Body Like A Back Road had no remix & stalled at #11 in spins on T40 though its audience peak rank was around #15. Fancy Like stalled just outside of the T40 Top 10 even with the Kesha remix. In 2013 following its remix Cruise reached #8 in spins but with comparatively little audience. Breathe & Amazed peaked in the 7-8 range at T40 too. Yes, I Hope did reach #3 after Charlie Puth released his collab version with Gabby Barrett but that's the exception. Need You Now was also a major exception to this but it needed a dance remix to succeed in the biggest cities too. I pointed out last week there are a bunch of "unofficial" LN remixes but to this point Wallen hasn't done so. LN won't get any Rhythmic & Dance Mixplay support without a remix & even then especially Rhythmic isn't a given. Of course the remix would also dramatically increase its consumption metrics too. Let's just see what happens I guess. The fact LN has 4 #1 wks on the Hot 100 without any remixes may be enough for him. But maybe he'll do something after all anyway. I may be wrong given the almost 40 year gap since a song climbed Country & mainstream radio simultaneously. This is an unusual situation.

It could very well be a possibility if Pop doesn't drop songs like Flowers, Calm Down, Creepin, Kill Bill, and Die For You. Keep in mind, these songs have hogged around 75-80k spins every day since the Super Bowl, which was played nearly 3 months ago. It's pretty hard for other songs to get spins and break through when there is very little to no movement at the top for this extended period of time.

Yeah this as well. LN is +1.18 million on MB AI, still 1 of the biggest gains but definitely breaks the long 1.5 mil/day streak. And it's still 20 mil behind Calm Down which gained 900k today.

Just look at the top of the Pop chart. 4 of the Top 6 songs (Flowers, Calm Down, Creepin, and Die For You) are by the aforementioned artists. And these songs have been hogging the top spots on Pop for months on end now.

Yep, Pop needs to gut Flowers and the other songs…

I feel like maybe pop needs to gut those, and then maybe we will get a fresh top 10.

Quite frankly, I'm amazed that Creepin, Die For You, and Boy's a Liar haven't left the Top 10 yet. I really thought they were going to leave the Top 10 before the end of March.

Leave the top 10? This song deserves to keep rising. :jamming:

I know HDD releases its T 50 today & its going to be a very close race. How many times has HDD & BB had different #1 albums/when was the last time? If things are super close this week I could see them crowning different champs.

The last time was Midnights Vs. SOS this year when they were very close. HDD had Midnights at #1 and Billboard had SOS at #1
